People need to know that Fashion is treated as art at these high level circles. It's not for the utility of the design but rather a means of expression. That's why it's costly too, ofcourse the artist or fashion designer matters too. If that absurd looking design is something you relate to and/or understand where it comes from, you'd appreciate it and not criticize for not being that useful as a normal dress.
