I was never pressurised for not getting ranks by my parents (they are cool) and was consistent performer with 90 92 percentage, but funny part is when the exam papers were so hard, the usual rankers in the class would go behind me and I got ranks because of consistency. Then one teacher told my parents "he has potential but he is not using it properly" then my mom told this iconic dialogue after sending me out of the room but I listened from a corner "He is just not taking much pressure on himself. We are happy that he is learning, performance is good and marks aren't a big deal." Comparing my parents to that father who told "He can do better" when his son scored 499/500, Man I felt so sorry for that kid.

Me too esp in maths and numericals.. ek do marks was not the main thing.. It was ki koi silly calculation mistake kr ke aa gaya rush mein. Parents se zyada to main khud hi disappointed Hota tha.. Parents would have to come and console me 😅
