1978 Honda Civic CVCC Restoration Part 1 - Interior & Engine

I have to get mine started ..it got HOT on me did not over heat but it did get HOT and I parked it 10 YEARS later my kids washed it and said DADDY when are going to get it running...they use to crawl in and out when they were 1 and 2 YEARS old now in their teens they want to get it running lol..

Great Job Buddy! thank you for listing the cost of rebuilding your CVCC. FYI, if you can run a tube to catch more air into your air cleaner your Baby will gain more ponies

So you sold it...where did you find parts I got a 1979cvcc Honda it's been SITTING for 10 years in my garage and now I am trying to get it to run ..charging battery

@@kangokidkidd4037 Most mechanical parts are from RockAuto. The body/interior parts came from the guy who sold it that had a spare parts car lying around. Luckily I now have an old 280ZX to keep me busy. ;)

Just a long shot here but does anyone know where i can find the brake drums for this damn car??? Cant even find them on ebay and its litterally the last thing i need to finish my dads cvcc

Where did you get that air cleaner ?

That big hose that is coming of the valve cover where does it go to ...mine is missing

If you're referring to the large diameter black one going backwards towards the cabin, it goes into the carburetor. Acts as a pressure relief for the valve cover and recycles it back into combustion. Think of it like the predecessor to the modern PCV system.
