Do you have any close up pics of this build? I want to know how your ramp slides into the deck, and how it hooks onto the back of the deck when you load your sled

What did you use to hook the ramp on the deck, also what did you do to lock it in place
@billygrossjr.55854 жыл бұрын
The end of the ramp has notches cut in the ramp itself to hold it in place when loading. There is a pin that holds it in place when in transport 👍

materials and cost breakdown? Great build man.
@billygrossjr.55855 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! The aluminum was just shy of $900 + whatever plywood costs in your area are. The ski glides came off another sled deck I had built so with the metal, decking, and turnbuckles to attach it, it cost about $1000 to build. I could build the same one out of steel for probably $600-650

@@billygrossjr.5585 1"x2" square tubing? what is the estimated weight of the deck?
@billygrossjr.55855 жыл бұрын
JeenYus Yep, 1x2 by 1/8th with 2x3 angle for the sides. Without the plywood I could pick it up and move it pretty easily, probably 150 lbs without the decking and the ramp probably weighs 50 lbs. My steel deck was probably 450 lbs.
