By the looks and sounds of the snow, you could have just walked on it and taken the shorter route. And if you had been skiing, it wouldn't have take much any time. If you can Nordic skiing that is.

snow was pretty deep as i visited the other side of hill few days back and as it was my first snowy winters so i was trying to avoid new risks

The sledge was a bit too small for a big kid like you. But you demonstrated perfect attitude and will perfect the art of controlling it, if you just practice some more. But I would warn against falling so that you roll. It can get out if control and you'll hurt yourself. Better learn more controlled falling as a way to mitigate the risks. Falling and failing is part of such activities. Becoming used to do it less dangerously is important to learn. Party you can just figure out ways to do it by reasoning. But you also need to practice your autonomous reflects to handle these fast situations. That can only be achieved by many repetitions.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, it was actually my first time, and the sledge was definitely a bit short for me 😅. I’ll definitely work on the controlled falls this winter
