That is true to an extent. When I first started smoking weed it completely changed the way I listened to music. It made it sound sweeter and heard different layers that I never heard before. The main difference I hear in this opposes to “the Sciences” version, is that there seems to be more open work going on the chordal work happening. You can hear a cleaner sound In this version, then in The Sciences, Which ultimately gives you more… Fuzzier doesn’t necessarily mean heavier.

Sleep(and all stoner metal and some doom metal) is music for an underground culture of stoners. We listen to this music as a life style. I smoke everyday and still have all Bs and As in college and have a good job. It is a lifestyle many people dont understand and fear it because they compare it to real drug addicts. My boss has 2 masters and is friends with many professors (some at MIT) and he has been a regular smoker since yearly teenage years. Stoners arent what you think. Look at Carl Sagan

Lifestyle comes from the music one listen's to most of the time. Everyone is different. For me, i was a metalhead since early age, then i got into Stoner/Doom once I started somking marijuana. It sort of came along, I cant really tell you what I got into first, Weed or Stoner Metal.. Anyhow, I have a friend that was always a stoner and recently became a stoner/doom fan. On the other hand, I have had a girlfriend that would die for Electric wizard, but never smoked until she met me
