They jumped from 200k Spotify monthly listeners to 1.2 million as of a couple days ago
@Ryplaysbass2 жыл бұрын
I'm only hoping those numbers stay high for them. Monthly listener just means anyone who's clicked on a single song or listened to it on a playlist. I love they're getting the attention they deserve, I just hope it continues and it isn't tik tok hype that dies after a while.

I find myself singing this one in my head the most. Its just such a great song, so jazzy, the chorus is so catchy, and LOVE the bridge with Vessel's gorgeous voice and that guitar. This album is going to be LIT!

Me too...I'm always singing it, out loud, in my head, to the dog lmao constantly

The stripped down bridge is so pretty. You can hear the pain and longing in it.

I absolutely love the jazz lounge feeling of this song. The little whispers in the background during the paino solo are *cheffs kiss*

I love that you can hear the faintest clatter of dishes like waitstaff cleaning up during the jazz lounge interlude. So technical and beautiful.

I definitely agree with you, the song gave me Jazz/Lounge vibes. I don’t blame you for being gobsmacked and awestruck. Whenever I try to talk about Sleep Token to my friends or family who don’t know them, it’s really hard to put into words what they do and how they manage to create this sound that is uniquely them. I definitely experience a strange thing with them where I never know what to expect from them musically and processing each single with completely different sounds can’t be described as anything but an experience. I literally can’t describe the feeling I have when I’m listening to their songs. Never apologize for speaking your thoughts, I always enjoy your analysis of their songs and them as artists. Worship 🖤

Sean, you still have to go back and check out Loathe - is it Really You? you reacted to Sleep Token's cover a while back, but the original is just as equally amazing.

STs variety and versatility are what take them above and beyond for me. I love all of these new tunes equally, they're all super unique in their own way. can't wait for the full album release, and hopefully a headlining US tour...

They somehow hit every single one of my music tastes, and my ADHD brain is farming so much dopamine from it. I cannot wait for the whole TMBTE album to drop.

watched a video of this song from a recent concert and the way Vessel just busts that beautiful piano solo in the middle of this song was so good like what a wild concert to go to? where you get hit with prog metal then all of a sudden, this guy is playing for you like ur in an intimate, high-end lounge or a speakeasy? love it I loved this song when I first heard it, but it was a bit of a grower for me. I'm rly excited for when the instrumental version of this drops for my sleep playlist!!!

I feel like a comune denominator: some indie-jungle stile, the voices (alternates two at least singers I believe) are layering from metal to rock to jazzy to funky to blues sometimes to gospel moods?, I saw in live recordings three chorists that make a great great work to support vessel!

Granite is my favorite jam from these guys for sure. This was the song that showed me that they aren't gonna use dj0nts as a gimmick. They knew it wouldn't work here so they didn't use it. This is my 2nd fav. As much as summoning and vore are enjoyable, even though I love heavy music, for this band, I might be more into the chill stuff. This song is an incredible piece of music.

It's fucking infuriating watching all these "metal-head" reactions having lukewarm reactions to this track because; "wHeReS tHe bReAkdOwn bRo???". This is carefully crafted music and the best track this band has put out. I'm agnostically praying for this band to keep making tracks like this instead of pandering to the useless, sweaty metal-crowd.
