Its not that interesting and quite generic. Maybe people are only now being exposed to this sound so they think its new and interesting. The sound is old. Examples of artists that actually made a new sound at their given point in time - nirvana - rage against the machine - american football - lil peep - killswitch engage - suicide silence - the smiths - bones - burial These artists made something new. They didnt just play the same sound from 10 years prior.
