This song is the end of the new album, which is the end of a trilogy of work for them. That last little bit was the interlude from The Night Does Not Belong To God, which was the opener from the first album. Full circle.
@thelightshineth8848 Жыл бұрын
I didn't notice this until just now but even the beginning of Euclid is based off that Night Does Not Belong To God motif. If you bounce back & forth between the beginning of both tracks you can hear it. In the Euclid version the first half follows the same pattern but drops a note in the middle (or else it would be immediately obvious to everyone) and then the second half does a little variation but definitely based off the same thing

Its been said before endlessly, but the way its seen is the whole 3 albums are about a toxic relationship, TMBTE song especially the ending, is the release of raw emotion after finally breaking it off, and Euclid feels like the clarity and freedom of moving on, an amazing epilogue. One of my new favorite albums.

I was so excited to listen to them I set my alarm an hour early so I could drive in early while traffic was light and it was still dark, so I could really take it in. I was so amazed (even with high expectations) at how amazing the tracks had been…..and then Euclid came on…what an absolute perfect closer to a trilogy. I have yet to get through this song without crying. This song means so much to me right now! Love the video man!

Similar to my story man. I found Sundowning in 2021 after my relationship of 14 years ended and my father passed away shortly after. Sleep Token were with me through every mental battle, every run, every gym session, every long drive, every night laying in my bed staring at the ceiling. When TNDNBTG started playing at the end I balled my eyes out because it took me back to where I was in my life just a short couple of years ago and how far I have come since then. Sleep Token changed my life. Worship.

Another Commenter once said this: "Think of this (and the previous two albums) as a Broadway show. Sundowning: Act 1 - we’re introduced to Vessel and Sleep. Sleep is “wooing” vessel to spend eternity in this world he/she has created specifically for Vessel. TPWBYT: Act 2 - Vessel has accepted to stay with Sleep, and journeys through the various possibilities for his eternity with Sleep Take me Back To Eden: Act 3 - Vessel sees a “door” for one option that is guarded (The Summoning), and has to convince Sleep to let him see it. Sleep says he cannot see in, unless this is for sure the option he chooses… so he does. What follows is (at first) a world full of love and warmth with a woman who seems familiar, but he grows very attached to. As the album progresses, Vessel gets flashes of who he once was, and begins having to face these demons that he had in real life, all while chasing this woman who feels familiar. It turns at “Are you really Ok.” He recognizes the woman from his real life relationship, watches her self-harm, and can’t fix her, despite an incredible love for her and wanting to. The apparition is her ghost after ultimately succumbing to her own self-harm. We start to learn that Vessel is a normal man, and he went through a traumatic event with the woman he loved. It was toxic, and she needed help (likely mental health concerns), and when she died, he spiraled, and created this world of Sleep and Vessel to fill the void that was now missing. TMBTE the track is him finally deconstructing what’s happening and tearing down Vessel, Sleep, the whole thing. Euclid is a rebirth. A re-awake ing from this depressive funk he has been in, after her death, and finally making peace, and moving on. A new version of himself."

they have the rare ability to pour emotion into sound and to make the music itself feel, but to make it even more chilling, you have to know who they are and what they're talking about. what I would give to hear the end of "euclid" again. the percussion itself already smelled of something to me, but when I heard the ending, I was picking my jaw up from the floor. The trilogy albums are just a masterpiece. Truly a work of art. Each album portrays the raw emotions a human goes through : love , sadness, fear, anger, guilt, solitude . It comes full circle perfectly. The first song being a prologue " The night does not belong to god" and the epilogue "Euclid" . At the end he says " the night belongs to you". An idle mind at night can cause havoc on the mind and heart.

This is one of the songs that perfectly personifies why I ultimately fell in love with Sleep Token. As you said, Vessel is a master at expressing himself emotionally with his vocals. But he’s also fantastic at expressing not only pain and suffering but the light and hope within it all too. The irony of this song being a call back to The Night Does Not Belong to God and giving me the same feeling I felt when I first heard that song. I always felt that it was something in that song that was so hopeful and that’s the same feeling this song gives me. It honestly feels like we’ve been on a long, hard journey and finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel. I found Sleep Token during a very hard time in my life and they helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Even though the light seemed very far away and completely unattainable, they still helped me feel it and believe it was there. They gave me something to enjoy in my daily life to get through while I was still struggling and I’ll always be extremely grateful to them for that. I also hope we are doing the same thing for them in return by supporting them and enjoying their music. Overall, this song makes me very emotional and I will be crying if I hear it live in September when I see them. This band is absolutely special and has been a beacon of comfort and hope. Worship ❤
