@@mattlefrip the 4-knob! I bought it to replace a Gibson Les Paul as a daily driver back in the day, because that thing was breaking my back!

@@XChristianNoirX Oh yeah that makes sense. The tempest is pretty similar to a Les Paul. It's still a little bit heavy in my opinion, but I don't have a Les Paul. I don't realize how heavy they actually are :p

Thank you man! Well, the Rogue VI is a cool instrument. It's cheap, so don't expect super good finitions and quality control. Mine came with no major issue though. It's a little bit weird to play at first, as the neck is veeery long. I am still getting used to it, but I am having fun with it, which is the most important thing! I am happy to add this guitar to my little collection to expand my range and possibilities :)

@@mattlefrip ahh I have another question!! What settings or effects did you use for the intro and what tuning is that on?

@@jorgeaguirre7346 For the clean parts, the tone comes from the Plini amp sim. I made a preset using this (in that order) : compressor / clean amp / cab / delay / reverb. I must admit I like how it sounds! The guitar I used for this is a regular 6 string tuned to Eb standard (Eb / Ab / Db / Gb / Bb / Eb)

Hi, nope, I didn"t use an octave pedal or plugin. The guitar I'm using is a bassVI, made to be tuned one octave down. It has a very long neck. I play it as a guitar but it's borderline a bass guitar

what settings did you use for the PLINI clean tone

I used almost every component : compressor/clean amp/EQ/delay/reverb. I rolled off the low end and boosted the top end along the way to get a bright tone, except for the delay that has a dark tone

so i picked up the same guitar (subzero) and i've tuned down and ngl its terrible is this set up different or is it stock and what strings is it you have on ?

I still have the stock strings actually. Mine came tuned in E standard (one octave down). From what I read, it's a 24/84 set of strings. To play that song (which is in drop Eb) I had to lower the low string by 1 semitone and up 1 semitone on the other strings. Not ideal, the low string is too loose for my taste but still playable. I will definitely try different gauges of strings to find what feels good. I will also try to mess with the action and intonation. The strings are a little bit high imo. For that price, I didn't expected it to come perfectly setup. I would suggest to check some tutorials on how to setup a guitar or baritone guitar. How is it "terrible"? I would need more details to try to help you

@@mattlefrip thanks for the response and yeah the pre sets are 10-52 ive picked up some 13-72 now and tbh i had to send the rogue back then i got the subzero paradigm the pickups are alot better as on the rogue my pick ups wasnt wired up and the nut was really badly done saddly im waiting on my 3rd guitar off of gear 4 music now as well and ill give it a proper set up as soon as i get my replacement and see how it goes

@@bespeakingthetruth5324 Sadly you haven't been as lucky as me with your rogue. Mine came without major issue. I did change the bridge pickup for a seymour duncan JB (because I had one laying around) but I think that the stock pickups are actually not that bad. I hope you'll finally get a good one!
