This was my first Sleep Token song too, and holy shit do I love it. But really, it’s the only song of theirs that sounds like this. Most of the rest of it sounds like a male Adele with some heavier arrangements. Not bad at all, just not the same as this. Which gives me hope that this band is evolving into something really special.

yessssss I've been hoping you guys would get to sleep token forever! They been a must-listen to band for a while now and people are finally coming around to them. Just like Spiritbox blew up last year, it's their turn now and they fully deserve it. Def check out more from them if this one intrigued you, they are incredible. Atlantic, The Love You Want, Alkaline, Jaws, Dark Signs, Sugar, Bloodsport (also Bloodsport from the room below if you liked the original). Seriously they have so many bangers.

I decided to finally give this a listen with you guys, but it ended up getting kind of the same reaction I have to other Sleep Token stuff I've listened to. The way I see people talk about them, I always imagine more. This song and the others always feel like they're lacking something, like they're flirting with being heavy but then getting distracted with some weird atmospheric stuff that kills the energy for me. It's all subjective though. It works for bands like Periphery. You guys should go back to them. They just put out 2 new BADASS songs, and Wildfire is a perfect example of them going off on a tangent. But they come back and finish the song strong. You two will definitely enjoy it.

Yeah its the transitions and not a good flow of the different musical ideas. Talented for sure but not an Opeth or NeObliviscaris who are masters at that.

Funny it’s the opposite for me. I’m not a huge metal fan I think it can get to be too much for the entire song but I love having some of it thrown in here and there. Sleep token has never been very heavy they just throw some heaviness in tracks here and there occasionally.
