I especially love that this is the ocean at night. It makes it so easy to fall asleep. A lot of the time ocean sounds videos are daytime ocean sounds with seagulls and distant children laughing and that is not as sleep inducing and relaxing as this. Thank you!

I'm originally from Oregon and would go to the coast annually to recharge my batteries. now I'm in Michigan which is landlocked. yes there are the great lakes...but they just aren't the same. I really miss this sound, the smell, everything about the ocean. I've saved this so when my anxiety kicks in I can watch this to get back my zen. thank you!!!!

its spring here and in 80s like 85 today played some beach wave stuff most the day along with yours this evening with some snacks and a misting bottle from a travel bag i found cuz its that hot might as well be at a beach. just put on beach stuff and yep felt cooler. so thanks for tricking me to feeling cooler. feel like im sleeping on the beach.

Okay, this rocks! I play the soundtrack along with a continuous driving rain CD on another ghetto blaster and together, the room is awash in water... (I Scorpio, in a water bed!), The synergy between the rise and fall of the waves and the constant rain is the perfect Vulcan Mind Meld; FORGET.

CaptBeauregards I filmed it in a marine and mountain nature reserve called Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve near Cape Town, South Africa. The fire sounds very appealing to me too as we are going into winter here and would be nice to imagine a warm cabin overlooking the sea... Might make a video like that. :)

+Steve Goyne I filmed this back when I only had the internal mics on my camera. These days I use an external stereo mic which picks up bass better than I used to be able to. Despite the bass not being loud on this video most people seem to find it comforting to listen to, especially those who fall asleep watching/listening to it. Some people don't really like the loud rumble or thuds when they are trying to sleep so in this case it seems to be for the best. :) In my newer videos you will find the sound to be more accurate if you have a sub. Hi Nesrin. It was an experiment to see if it would help induce sleep more effectively by being repetitive and predictable. Most of my other videos are not loops like this, but many people are fond of this one for it's comforting predictability I guess... :)

+Ugi Jargal ha ha... yes, it would be amazing to be free to move unencumbered in the ocean. :) You should watch how wild dolphins surf... they appear to take genuine pleasure in streaking through the waves. It's truly one of the most amazing spectacles to watch in nature. They're extremely fast and accurate too... really makes one jealous when you see them playing so freely.
