9:08 - you can get 3 doom for ritualing during the first doom phase, not 1. And it would cost 5 power, so it's not a bad cost to VP ratio in itself. The problem is that you lost 5 power to spend building your power base on the second turn...

doesn't you need a GOO or 6 spellbook to perform a ritual.

clarence lee That is very old rules - you can ritual during the Doom phase as long as you have enough power to do so. You are have an incentive to have a GOO, however, because when you ritual with one that gives you an elder sign (1-3 Doom points). Having 6 spellbooks allows you to battle as an unlimited action
