Haiti has a so powerful culture, it’s too bad that they are where they’re at right now. Such powerful people! If only they could reunite, even the US couldn’t stand before them, that’s why they do everything to keep them like that.

We as a people do not care what racist fifa members,journalists and players particularly franz beckenbauer had to say! Racism has always been and always will be foot-ball biggest problem sadly! What an embarrassment indeed and ask them if they care ! The 1974 world cup was everything to us regardless of the outcome. We're talking about West Germany the home of Adolf Hitler and their neighbors were just as bad.

1974 was my first World Cup, it was because of these no hoper nations that made me become a real fan of the competition. These nations belong to a “World Cup “ and they truly make it seem that the entire world come together to compete with each other. The best will always end up winning but for me watching teams from unknown parts was as exciting to me as watching the best footballing nations. For me that is what the World Cup is about , not being the best , but a celebration of a game that is played by almost everyone on earth.

Zaïre were not as weak as it seems to be , before their second match they realized that their local politicians never given to them the money that all the country gave to motivate them. then they have decided to sabotage the competition , if you see video of the game against Yugoslavia you'll realize that the players didn't run and were giving Yugoslavian players the ball. I'm not saying that they should win that match , I'm just saying that the wouldn't be humiliated like that with the 9-0 and Thank you for the video, you did a great Job 👏👏👏

While Zaire and Haiti weren't that terrible as the public thought, they were obviously the weakest teams in the tournament. I think the key to their performance was mainly due to underestimation of their true quality. Poland and Yugoslavia were really composed teams from every point of view and really didn't take any game as granted on that tournament, unlike bigger more acknowlegded teams.

How did haiti qualify?
@SleeperHitHistory Жыл бұрын
They qualified by winning the 1973 CONCACAF Championship. The tournament was held in Haiti, so many have suggested that there was foul play involved in Haiti's qualifying wins. But it's important to recall that Haiti placed second in both the 1970 WC Qualifiers (winning games in the USA, El Salvador and Haiti) and in the 1977 CONCACAF tournament (held in Mexico), meaning they came very close to qualifying for Mexico 1970 and Argentina 1978. They also placed second in the 1971 CONCACAF Championship in Trinidad & Tobago, which wasn't a WC qualifier but featured the same coach and a lot of the same players as 1974. They were a good team.
@clintonalleyne5719 Жыл бұрын
@@SleeperHitHistory ha ha ha i was being sarcastic. Trinidad and Tobago hit Haiti 5 goals on the day four disallowed. Match officials banned for life.
@SleeperHitHistory Жыл бұрын
@@clintonalleyne5719 Yep, that's the narrative. It ties into the whole narrative that I'm disputing here-that Haiti didn't belong at the WC. But you can't say the one match against T&T was the only reason they qualified. It was the 5th match out of 15 in the tournament, and Henriquez only reffed the one match. Both teams played 4 other games and Haiti did well. The Haitian team was good. You can't peg their whole qualification on one corrupt ref.
@rodneyjean-baptiste456716 күн бұрын
We qualify after a long campaign in the CONCACAF region. It was 1 out of 36 teams. Thus, it was very difficult to qualify. However, the final stage was played in PAP, Haiti in December 1973 including Haiti, Trinidad, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Netherland Antilles by order of ranking. USA and Canada were eliminated in the preliminary phases. 4 Years earlier in 1969, we missed the best world cup final by losing to Salvador. 1st game in Haiti: Salvador 2, Haiti 1. Second game in Salvador: Haiti 3, Salvador 0., Third game: Salvador 1, Haiti 0 in extra time. Somehow we had to play another game in Jamaica on a neutral place since they did not count goal difference. We were also in second place in 1977, when Mexico qualified. So, Haiti did very well until 1982.

@coffeecigarettes94223 жыл бұрын
From a political perspective in 1974 Poland and Yugoslavia were indeed parts of the Eastern World because of the communist governments. YU was not even a real ally of the USSR, I know, nevertheless the political ideology was the key point to be called either a Western or Eastern country, expecially in Europe. Greece and Turkey for example were called as Western countries.

So here again we see how evil and suspicious the western world is. And again, in keeping with the times, the explanation for everything is racism. Comparing Haiti´s and Zaire´s results with Brazil´s 1-7 defeat to Germany is ridiculous. And yes, Australia was more successfull than Zaire and Haiti - they got more points and a much better goal difference. The fact that Haiti scored more goals is irrelevant in this context. The overall performances of Haiti and Zaire were just poor (whatever the reasons), and pointing this out is not racist but a simple fact. This video represents the typical woke,self hating ideals of a leftist agenda.

Did you watch the same video ? Australia scored no goals. East Germany and Chile were not soccer powerhouses. West Germany was the only good team in Australia's group. Haiti lost one of its best player before the Poland's game Haiti scored against both Italy (Dino Zoff had a clean record before facing Haiti and Emmanuel Sanon) and Argentina Argentina ended up hosting and winning 1978 World Cup.
@AntonesPap3 жыл бұрын
@@jamesdonlolo6758 By their own standards, Argentina & Italy had mediocre teams in 1974. East Germany had their best team ever & actually beat hosts & eventual world champions West Germany. Haiti & Zaire would probably not have been heavily defeated by Poland & Yugoslavia, if they weren't plagued by internal problems. However, I don't think they could have done much better than they actually did.
@jj0071043 жыл бұрын
I guess the fact that the media buried both Haiti and Zaire before the competition even started and quibbed about monkeys and Haiti's stigmatized religion while falsely claiming Australia's natives were all from Europe doesn't hint at any racism...nah the narrator is the racist as you're suggesting, that's the problem with the western world...right
