I had an A3 right before my Mk8 GTI and a 2014 A6 3.0T tuned trans and full stage 2 U/L. I love my GTI with the plaid seats and the manual trans. No more luxury cocoon for me 😂

This is why I’m looking into getting a gti lol. Do you think I should just wait for the 8.5 to come out or just find a used 8 SE or is SE not even worth it lol

Honestly that would be up to you if you want the new interior or not🤷🏽‍♂️ other than that besides some cosmetics on the 8.5 it’s the same car. I would go for the better deal in that case, also the 8.5 ECU would for sure be locked, if you’re looking to tune it👌🏽

@@K_k0007 get it with a standard trans! Then change the gear shift knob, they are trash and break in two months. Mk8 with FBO unitronic stage 2 with uniflex

Just get a mk7 r get the power to the ground I've got a mk6 r with an intake and maybe a gearbox tune done by previous owner I say that because it does 0-100 kph in 4.7 even in the wet

@ yeah I’ve definitely been thinking about that. I just like that they made the MK8 a little bit bigger than the 7. I also don’t know if insurance would be more because it’s an R. I’ve definitely been thinking about that though.

@K_k0007 yeah insurance would be more id say and I haven't driven a GTi but with a manual from what I've seen is more fun my r is so stable and smooth with the power it's kinda "boring" because it does everything so easy and effortlessly I wanted the safety of awd but also best bang for buck speed wise especially as I'm modifying it and that extra power gets wasted on a fwd. Best of luck whatever you choose you'll enjoy it🤟

Depends on the deals you can find, if a 7r is coming close to the mk8s in price I’m going newer car for sure 🤷🏽‍♂️

God that 5.0 Sounded soo good. Makes me wonder when are you gonna get an exhaust on that mk8? maybe just a muffler delete?? :^)

@@connorcorriveau1349 resonator deletes are quieter than a muffler delete on the mk8's. I got my muffler delete and it sounds really good. If you're gonna chop one, chop either both or just the muffler
