How often do the filters need cleaning ?

I do the surge every week and the box filter a clean every few days. despite the surge filter the sponges still collect muck so the surge is not as effective as I would have hoped.

@@yorkshirekoi2246 that's not too bad though and you'll find even sponges let some dirt through and even a drum, multi bay or Nexus would still let some stuff through. The only thing that won't is fine filter floss but that stuff clogs very quickly but if you had a drum filter followed by a wheelie bin full of filter floss ( yes a whole wheelie bin lol 🤣 ) you'd have gin clear water ! ! What you could do is try some NT labs mediclay or FOK bio factor VL (they're both meant to be good) and see how much of the clay each filter takes out, if it improves water quality and if it clogs up either of the filters. It's just a thought 💭 anyway looking forward to the next video !
