Back in the 70's I drove a tractor pulling a ten ton pea combine for a local cannery two summers in a row. From field to field, 12 hour days, 6 days a week, in the middle of summer. We got very, VERY BROWN!!!!! The first summer, it was an older Ford Super Major. The second summer, it was a much nicer, big Ford 5000. We even had to hit the interstate a few times to get to certain fields. Great memories!!!

Thanks Josh for telling us what cars are going for down there. Everyone else on YT has to keep prices a big secret. Those cars are worth more in Michigan, but the shipping cost offsets that. Glad you are saving all of those fine Ford products. You and the family should visit Dearborn someday and go to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. if you take the column out and tear it down you will find a little piece of steel that slides in those tubes and it's probably broken off. If it is it in there somewhere. I had welded with a wire feed electric welder and it broke off again. Next time a got a old timer who was WKOS and he braised with a brass rod and some stuff he dipped the rod in. While I was there I got him to drink out the levers and I put brass bushings in them with small clips. Didn't mean to bend your ear. Love the video.❤🇺🇸

A big vote for the annual update video. I’ve watched this one twice now because it answers the question, what ever happened to xxx car? This time through I was looking to see what happened to the ‘67 Thunderbird; a really classic design to me. I think people don’t realize what the T-bird did for the Ford brand. In that era, ‘50’s and ‘60’s, the T-bird made a statement: Ford (can be) cool. Likewise, the Lincoln brand makes the statement: Ford can be luxurious (when it wants to be). Just my thoughts, needless to say, I enjoyed the video.

When I was a kid even before I got my license I had 3 cars and a 47 Ford panel truck with a Buick 425 in it. My first trip at 16 down the quarter was in a 1960 Bugeye sprite my buddy and I had put a small block Chevy in. 9 inch rear. Glide. Cannot recall what it ran but it was scary. Yeppers ; bring back a few memories . Lived on a hill , my front row was between my garage & barn (actually 3 rows deep ) . House yard, garage ,carlot ,barn & small feed lot , was the only semi flat areas . Pulled up with my tow truck w/ a car in tow , flipped micro lock on ,pump brakes to set . Went in to eat lunch .About 30 or so min later .heard a crash went to look truck , & car I was towing rolled down the hill across the road ,thru neighbors fence / his cows had circled in on that truck & car & never took their chance at freedom . Oh how fortunate I was that nobody was coming down the road . You know lunch didn't settle too well that day !!! I look back all the time & think just how blessed I was.. I see some of the things you & your family do & it brings back memories , . Blessing to you & your family . Dont be to hard on em because we learn from our mistakes . Yes, yearly updates would be great! It doesn't matter what we want or would keep, it's your/your wife's/your kid's choices. Me, I'd never put a Chevy engine in the Fairmont unless I had a Chevy I could put a Ford engine in... Lol! It doesn't really matter, I'm just brand loyal, I keep Chevy engines in Chevys and Ford engines in Fords. But it's whatever floats your boat these days. Do as you wish and have lots of fun doing it!

Buddy, I've been watching for a while and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the different vehicles come back to life and develop to a point where they can cruise along the road again. Sure - some won't, but they live on in other vehicles and didn't get crushed, so there's a win in it anyway. On the Update video idea - yep, definitely. I had wondered where the Opel Kadett and the Nash Rambler had got to - they were some of the first cars in the videos I had seen of your channel, so it was great to see they were moved on to someone else who could do something with them when they weren't what you expected them to be to restore. I know a guy about 200 miles from me who has over 50 cars - most of them the same make and model as one of my own classics - and he bought them because he could...and when they were cheap. Now most of them are badly deteriorated, with rusty panels, pitted chrome, rat-infested / damaged interiors and have not been started since the day they were parked. After 25-30 years of them sitting, he is now trying to sell them on and is wondering why nobody wants to pay even what he paid for them. He's not kept them registered (either stickered or on hold / restoration) either and in this country, that means a full-on magnifying-glass type inspection by the most retentive inspectors you can find before it goes back on the road.....and nobody but someone very confident of their vehicle wants to go through that as it's $600 (about $400 your money) each time they look over it. One thing wrong and you have to go through it again. It's sad when people hide them away for "one day". Cars are to be driven and I like that you are one that's getting them back to a state that they can be. My current favourites are the two 60s Mopars - the red wagon and the white sedan (64 Dodge Dart wagon and 64 Plymouth Savoy?) although the 65 Dart coupe is definitely up there, as is the 83 Thunderbird Turbo coupe. I'm a GM man from birth, but grew up in a Ford household and didn't come out the closet about that until Dad finally drove one and said he liked it. Nowadays, I can appreciate anything that is still running after 50 years or more and some that are still going after 30 years that I never thought would be. New cars just don't have the same sound and I find it hard to believe that in 40 years, someone will be trying to revive something like a Nissan Juke or a Crown Vic.

@@Sleeperdude - Me and all, mate. It was getting hard to keep being interested in what people expected me to, instead of being allowed to go with what I REALLY loved! I remember coming home in my first GM - a 1973 Holden HQ Kingswood sedan (the Australian-made GM brand, model and trim level) after Dad admitted he liked them and told him I'd owned it for a year or so but was too scared to bring it home! He told me not to expect him to appreciate it the same way I did, but he'd let it be parked in his driveway. Funny - he drove that Kingswood every time him and I went somewhere, which I thought was Ironic because he's always been a staunch Ford Falcon man and always had a Falcon ute (basically like a Ranchero or El Camino) as his work vehicle as a bricklayer. You could get the concrete mixer, a 44 gallon drum, two wheelbarrows and assorted other tools or maybe just a metre of sand or builder's mix) in the back of one of those things and haul it many miles. Then one day I brought home an '86 Holden Commodore VK Executive with an injected straight 6 and 5-speed manual box. He took one drive of it and traded in Mum's Toyota Corolla wagon to buy one for himself. From there, he traded up to a 1989 VN Commodore Executive (3.8 V6 Buick engine, 5-speed manual trans) and two years later to the 1991 VN Commodore Executive with the Holden 308ci V8 and Tremec 5-speed manual. That beast was silver and he put a big bore exhaust and headers on it, chipped it up, lowered the suspension by two inches, stiffened the ride with heavy-duty shocks and a bigger anti-roll bar front and rear, then installed the full-on Group-A touring car fibreglass body kit. My young cousin heard her rumbling up the drive and thought it was thunder from an approaching storm, so Thunder became her name. Dad even took her down to the local drag strip and pulled a 12.4 second pass on the quarter (he'd done a 15.2 when she was bog stock standard). She was an awesome beast - and ended up being one of the wedding cars, with my own 1991 VN Exec V6 5-speed doing the job of ferrying the bridesmaids. The day was a bit damp shortly before the start of the wedding, so Dad had a bit of fun with my wife-to-be and her father by spinning her rear wheels as he pulled into the road up to the church and leaving the beast just enough grip to move forward at about 3mph.....and he left it there all long the one mile road until about 300 feet from the church's driveway, when he let her catch up and then idled into position outside the door! It was the first congregation at that church that had ever had the grey haze and pungent smell of burning rubber filter in from the air conditioners.....a fact that the Reverend pointed out at the beginning of the service! Unfortunately he passed not long after, but I recall discussing his allegiance to GM with other family members who had argued he was a Ford man through and through. Always had been My answer was "Yes, he may have been.....but he lived long enough to finally learn the error of his ways!". All the best - and keep 'em GMs rollin'!
