Sleeping Beauty has the best music, animation, and characters, as far as I'm concerned

True. Even Beauty And The Beast is great too, but less memorable for its music like Sleeping Beauty. Sleeping Beauty has the whole package. Tchaikovsky made the music ... and it waited for Walt Disney to put it on the screen.

Beauty and the Beast has better story, songs and characters such as Lumiere and Cogsworth as they were better sidekicks and comic reliefs than the fairies and the two kings (espcially when the hypocrite King Stefan unintentionally caused the conflict by angering Maleficent. Hans Conried could have made Stefan a much more interesting and consistent character if he remained in the vocal part)

I can't imagine how such a perfectly beautiful movie can even exist. Sleeping Beauty is such a masterpiece! There never has and never will be anything like it.

The most aesthetically beautiful of all the Disney movies imho. Also a perfect marriage between images and sounds. The music and the voices, particularly Mary Costas effortless switches between talking and singing, just... perfection. I sometimes cry watching this film, it's so unique as an art piece.

I was watching the movie last night. It’s been years since I done so! Sleeping Beauty has some of the most beautiful visuals and one of the most dynamic villains in the Disney Animation canon. As much as I enjoy bits of the current Revival era, I have a soft spot for the magic of the 50’s as well.

It's hard to see why audiences weren't as excited... It's a beautiful movie full of humour, friendship, family loyalty and love, gorgeous animation, adorable animals, a great villain and wonderful music. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying it. Public tastes change all the time or maybe rather trends. I'd think it was more about the timing the movie came out when audiences were less excited about animated full length movies and not that the movie was lacking in anything

My two favorite movies as far as Disney goes that I watch all the time. Our sleeping beauty in Cinderella. I always love the background and all the other extra details. and I will watch them over and over again because they’re just my favorites.

I think the problem with this film is that it's really about the fairy godmothers and not Aurora and Phillip. And in a disney fairytale I want the emphasis to be on the hero and heroine, not characters that I would normally think of as side characters. Even as a kid I found this film boring, and I think this is the reason.

I mean I always liked Sleeping Beauty as a kid. But I do know where you’re going with it. I’m a bigger fan of Cinderella and yet I never had issues with the mice being given focus.

I LOVE THE ANIMATION IN THIS MOVIE! You can pause anywhere and it looks like a tapestry. Fact The directors said they took inspiration from tapestry this animated still holds up today, 70 years later. I’d argue that the fairies are the main characters.🩷💚💙

@@manuelorozco7760also Prince Phillip despite being silent in the second half. I do have to say that Hans Conried could have made King Stefan less of a jerk and more consistent as a character with a specific personality, if he remained as a voice actor for the role. But it’s a damn shame that Aurora and Queen Leah do not have enough screen time or dialogue between them.

How they colored the characters was so beautiful! And this video of picture perfect makes me want to paint pictures of whatever I want to paint! And I too am a cartoonist I may not be Walt Disney but it's good to be me and I really want to do whatever I can to make my own cartoon characters come to life! I made a cartoon about a little girl who is half human and half witch but she is also a full princess I called this cartoon Leena, magical adventures of a princess witch! Someday I'm going to make copies of this comic strip I've been working on and if everybody loves it I'll be able to become a cartoon animation director just like Walt Disney! Becoming a cartoonist has always been my destiny ever since I was a little girl! And one time I wanted to work at a cartoon Network studios but unfortunately that's not the case! But maybe just maybe I could have my own cartoon studio for me to do these cartoons with some help from my friends, including my sister who is an artist too!❤

It's wonderful to hear that you are a cartoon artist! I hope your dreams come true about either having your own cartoon studio or working for a company. Just keep building your resume! Getting your art "out there" is so important and eventually people will notice, the word will get out and opportunities will arise - a lot of times when you're not even expecting it! I hope your comic strip about Leena becomes popular too. And while I honestly don't know much about animation except through some videos and articles I've seen and read lol, I would imagine that in today's world of cartoons and animation, it is also essential to not only be a good cartoonist with pencil and paper, but on the computer as well. Having some training in 3d rendering, graphic design, visual effects, and so forth would be important, and there are many programs to apply for and websites/tutorials on the internet to help with that. Anyway I wish you the best with your dreams and goals!

It's kind of a long story that Leena is a princess witch and she lives in a world called Crystalvania where all the Royal monsters live! Let's just say that it's based on the Zeitgeist of my life only it's about Royal monsters including their guardian a 10 year old princess witch named Leena! Also I thought she would wear blue since it's my favorite color! It's just like Nella the princess Knight when sometimes her favorite color to wear is green and Sofia the first wears the color lavender! I have been inspired by many cartoons and it's like I said sometimes my own cartoon world is like an art school! And as much as I love watching cartoons I really want to make my own! Let's just see my kind of magic is cartoon magic!

Sometimes I've been thinking about making cartoons about kittens like Catventures or CATDOM!? And sometimes I make cartoons about fashion like my original characters like the main one Stella Starlight! But she's not only a fashion designer she's also the guardian of the cosmos along with her little sister and her three best friends who will also be designers and the guardians of the cosmos! But most of the time I was thinking about making funnier cartoons like there's an idiot in my closet or a much more funny cartoon called Dudley and Chauncey! And since it was inspired by Foster's home for imaginary Friends and Hotel Transylvania I thought I would make a cartoon about a little girl who goes into a hidden Hotel full of weirdos that no one has ever seen in their lifetime! And this cartoon is called Amber in the hotel of weirdos! And sometimes I was even inspired by my big sister to make such cool characters in that cartoon! I have so many new ideas that I simply cannot tell which one I should start there are so many creations I made so wonderfully but I'll know when the time is right! It's wonderful to be a cartoonist but what I really want to do are two things I like to be an animator and a director of cartoon animation! My Auntie once told me to keep my hopes alive and that is exactly what I'm going to do!?

I hope you become the animator you want to be, all of the cartoons you mentioned are great ideas! Ever sinc i first watched Sleeping Beauty as a kid in Nigeria in VHS, it has remained one of my top three favorite Disney movies🤩👍 The unique art style, the great story, characters, plot, and music. So good. Also, Maleficent still scares me even as a 29 year old man😅
