What an amazing tour! Thank you. Your video is especially important as it shows much of the park before a devastating tornado in May 2018 destroyed much of the beauty of this wonderful Hamden landmark. It will definitely come back, but it will take decades. Thank you for preserving these views and for your informative commentary. Excellent job!

Glad you enjoyed it! You may have seen, but I did a follow up video when the park reopened kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqa2iaxvgLd8o6M and I hope to do a few more in the coming years as it continues to recover

1:59 - A third thing to note: "CSP" in the lower window likely stood for Connecticut State Parks. Just thought I'd add that

My mother grew up in Mount Carmel. She lived on Middle road which is still there her house even. It backs up to the back of Quinnipiac.

Great one Matt! 4 year old video and it still holds up! I'm starting to venture outside of SECT and was looking into doing a hike up to the tower with my daughter. I was pleased to see you have some content covering the park. BTW that edit where you transported to the top..*chefs kiss.

Helllo, really enjoyed your video. I like learning about local history and geography but am somewhat physically incapable, so these "Virtual Tours" are very nice for me to experience vicariously and learn more. Beautiful camera work and the drone shot was amazing. Can you just not for your safety be so close to the edge, just looking out brother. Keep up the good work, God bless.

This year I’ve done every single possible trail. I just finished yesterday with the blue trail. I live about 3 miles from SG so I just walk there and back. The white and blue are definitely the hardest trails

@@mattrwoodward. I see, i just checked it out, thanks for the link btw. That's not gonna happen, you have to be SGPA member first and foremost, which im not doing and you also have to register BEFORE you do the trails. Im sure you can fudge that, but for me its not even worth it either way. But thanks for the info, never knew that!
