Kagga Kamma is not ‘just’ a holiday destination… It is an experience of time feeling as though it is standing still as the sun travels across the sky, casting shadows over Huts and Caves.
This description from the Kagga Kamma website really does capture the essence of what it feels like in this amazing unique accommodation, found deep in the Cederberg mountains.
The Cederberg itself is an incredible place to go road tripping, and you should definitely consider adding Kagga Kamma as a stop if you are every visiting. They have a range of different accommodation types, from the incredible cave suites, to FULLY OUTDOOR ROOMS (which we didn’t get to use because it was too cold) and even normal suites and self catering units. There is something for most people.
While on the pricer side of things, we would say it is worth it if its something that you can afford. Besides the fact that its an incredibly unique accommodation, there is also access to amazing day hikes and most significantly the opportunity to view cave art that is over 6500 years old.

Our time road tripping in South Africa is drawing to a close now, with this being one of our final adventures before we attempt to travel again (Since Chloe’s visa is running out and she cannot extend). We’ve had such an epic time, and the Cederberg feels like the best place to end our road trip.
