16+ years later and I will never not love this band. I never fully believed in god until this year but now I understand why I love you guys so much. You knew what I should have known all these years. Thanks for being so calming, emotionally charged, knowledgeable and such an awesome ability to portray all that into a song.

alot of times when aaron is performing lives it seems to me like he adds lyrics that appeal to him in the present time, or fit to where they are as a band. i think hes just so lyrically beautiful that its easy for him to let stuff like that just flow. its obvious that he doesn't just love what the music does. he loves what the music is.

"The trap I set for you, seems to caught my leg instead" - so visual, such a message of transmutation. From gold to silver, silver to bronze - what was up came down, what was old is new... In this case: what was for me, became 'because of you.'

"Go plow some other field and try and forget my name, we'll see what harvest yields and supposing I'll do the same. I've planted rows of peas in the first weeks of july, they should've come up to my knees but they were maybe ankle high. Take the fingers from your flute and weave your colored yarns as I play for passing prostitutes and an answering guitar. I hear there's someone new, an extra pillow in your bed. The trap i set for you seems to have caught my led instead." Perfect metaphor for a break up..

With respect, this isn't about a break up. This line is about being faithful to the Lord's Will, as he does not exist. Also, it's "Out of tune guitar" - not "answering". I say five years later haha
