For this walk, we start off at the northern most part of the cemetery at Walter Chrysler's mausoleum. He was the founder of The Chrysler Corporation and commissioned the famous Chrysler Building on 42nd Street in New York City.
Next, we venture through the rest of the mausoleum section to William Rockefeller's huge mausoleum. He was a prominent member of the Rockefeller family and New York head of the Standard Oil Company in the 1920s.
We continue on and transition to the more typical graveyard design, stopping at the final resting place of Washington Irving who was the author of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and "Rip Van Winkle". The ghost of the World Famous Headless Horsemen supposedly has his nightly ride through the cemetery every night.
Finally we walk down to the southern most part and oldest section of the cemetery where the Old Dutch Church and tombs from the 1700s reside.
