I'll be 60 in Dec. This year, and I've not seen such a great talent such as this , at this age I've piddled around with guitar, and harmonica, mainly blues, but I've grown to love apalachicola music, since half my fam. Is from central Kentucky, and southeast Indiana, and they all had after supper jams , either on the porch, or chairs by the pond. Life lasting memories, and you boys brought it back, thank you Jeff Smith, Cincy , Ohio

Wow. I remember watching this when I was 13 years old. I remember listening to this song in particular when I realized I wanted to learn the Banjo. These guys (along with legends like Earl Scruggs and Roy Clark) were my inspiration for years. I'm 18 now and although I still have much to learn, I can now have the joy of playing songs like these. There'd be moments when I would want to give up and just quit playing, but then I would remind myself that these kids could do it when they were 9 or 10. And I would keep going. If you think you can never learn an instrument at this level, don't give up. Just you consistently practice and don't quit l, and you'll look back on the days when you first got inspired and be proud of yourself for learning such an amazing art form.

1000’s of miles away in England another slightly younger 58yr old man also shed a few tears watching that, and split his sides laughing uncontrollably, scarcely able to believe his eyes at the wizardry capable by three such young musicians. You boys are FREAKING AMAZING,!!! I'm a diehard heavy metal, rock&roll type guy and I have to say I'm so very happy that I clicked on this thumbnail,!!! I'm totally amazed by the talent you all have at such a young age,!!! I mean that in the best way possible guys, I'm just amazed and kind of lost for words is all, lol. Anyway, I wish you ALL the very best that life has to offer for you and thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of us,!!!

Yes, the song was in the movie Deliverance (1972). However, it was written and recorded by a man named Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith in 1955, almost 20 years before the movie was made.
