@@northseagas.official.scott6273 certainly did ….many times , BUT , had great difficulty in getting in . As you well know the queues were very long and of course it was brilliant once you were in. I had a pal , ( an old hearts player called Arthur Thompson ) and he was a great admirer of yourselves, and I used to get in with him latterly because he wiz a detective wi the polis in drylaw , I was running the norhet pub in davidsons mains at the time and in my free time we used to come up , and of course he just flashed his badge and we got in .THEN we had the bother of tryin tae get served because it wiz six deep at the bar …..great days . I used to play ( when I learnt the obligatory 3 chords and played aboot for a few years ) . You’ll know my pal the bluegrass player from the Norfolk Ali fyvie …..we still call him mr grumpy , and your name pops up a few times when reminiscing aboot the auld times . As you know Gerry played with aly until his sad demise a few years ago . What an absolute gentleman he was.it’s my 50th wedding anniversary next September and it would be great tae huv you boys playing at that …..I’ll start savin up noo . You’ll maybe remember another of mapals …..Sylvia McGowan ….a rear wee singer , a think she knows grant . Sorry for makin this note intae a war and peace , but thanks for your note ….Alex ….ta
