Hey Sleeves, don’t normally get to comment early but wanted to offer my take into goalies. I always went with your take that goalies didn’t matter, but as a massive Canucks fan and taking myself less seriously, I made PTN Demko and I’ve been shocked how good he’s been. I’ve been playing Div 2 Rivals around 1900-1950 SR, he’s 12-5-2 with an 84 save % and a 1.8GAA with only 1 truly awful game and a lot of games he’s borderline stole against higher end competition. I haven’t gone back to Kuemper since but I’ll aim to report back when I have a chance once done some more chores. I believe goalies which are stated higher do have an impact at least for me in the sense they don’t cost me games. Your videos are extremely helpful and I love watching your streams at work when things are slow.I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! - Mamm7216

If you do wildcard online it shouldn’t take you more than 2 hours and you get an 85 FF at the end, it resets on Fridays tho

Hello sleeves small rant here This year I’ve been using your advice of using cards I enjoy. I am big hawks fan and 65% of my main team is hawks and I’m slowly building a hawks theme team. As a hawks fan I’ve always been chasing the best Bedard cards luckily for me I love his cards I enjoyed his frozen forces a lot but regardless with the new winter clsssic pack for the hawks I really wanted to get one of each of them. I spent probably about 900k coins and ended up with 1 Taylor hall 1 vlassic 3 donatos 2 nick foliginos 7 Tyler Bertuzzi Out of 14 packs and basically 1 million coins no Bedard. This is 100% on me but the fact I can’t make these cards or even buy them from auction house is incredibly stupid there is literally nothing else to do with these cards other than trade in which seems like a big waste of value

Hey Sleeves, mad respect! All season I have been just trying to make the best players and have just been grinding to the point of burning myself out. So I decided to try what you said and going after your favourite players even if it isn't the best choice. I have since made Mo Seider (as I am a die hard red wing fan) and I'm loving playing with him. I also decided to try out fantasy for world juniors and kept my collectables in the hopes that axel sandin does well to make him (another red wing prospect) and I just wanted to thank you for making playing and watching hockey more enjoyable. Watching the world juniors can be boring at times, but when you're watching players in the hopes they do well for the video game is a whole other level. Seeing axel score 3 times got me so excited to actually make his card that I've already made it, and will be watching every game of his to see if he'll go up in ocerall even more. This is the first time in a while where I'm thrilled about the world junior tourney. Thanks for everything you do man love the content.

Hi sleeves, not a question from me but just a rant. I played a ton to start the game, took a break but am back and have been grinding for the past 3-4 weeks. I get so frustrated playing this game, especially online. Goalies no matter their ovr let in some of the dumbest shots or straight up do not react to a puck that is right in front of them. The AI in this game is so incredibly bad, the AI almost always pushes up too far or back skates when the puck carrier is sprinting past them. I have my strategies set to what you recommend but it still happens pretty consistently. I play this game to have fun but EA makes it next to impossible when you have a game that is made using computers that are running windows XP. Thanks for all you do and appreciate all your videos

Sup sleeves. I have been getting bored of the game lately, just having enough time to do chores and not much time for rivals/champs. My idea is to make an all Canadian theme team to spice things up (as well as jets players as it’s my favourite team). My only problem is that I have a lot of fantasy cards already (sandin-pellika bnd, ekholm ut, zetterlund bnd, Forsling ut). Would it be worth it to trade in ekholm and Forsling for a Canadian TOTY or do I make an exception and put them on my fourth line because I’ve spent so much value on these cards? Thanks man

Easier to do it is to have Total Control controller settings and then push Square-button (or X-button if you are on Xbox), the shot needs to either hit the goalie or go in goal. Shots wide of the goal or blocked shots don't count.

I might be able to use the rest of my collection to be within 1 or 2 of finishing him. Is it worth spending everything and the rest of my coins to get him now? Or should I wait a few more weeks and save my coins? The reason I ask is that I'm a Habs fan and don't want to miss out on any Canadiens MSPs that might come out. I think it’s stupid that you can pick the cards whenever you want for the new fantasy event. Everyone’s going to pick the highest one… should’ve made it when you get the card you have the base version and then it levels up when they score after that. I was a genius and got ASP and he got a hat trick and now everyone’s going to get him… 15, 83 overalls for a 91 is a joke…

Thanks Fred I was d 3 now back to d 4 after a downward spiral. I struggle to score even though I have a good team and win faceoffs. I lose a lot of overtime games and one goal games is what it is. I’m not good on breakaways. Changed some thing seem to be doing a little better. Posted earlier because I lost a game 7-6 thus the frustration with Robin.

Try focusing on a game where you only play defense and lay off the speed button . If you do better that means you’re pushing too hard and playing out of position. Also let your ai recover the puck during puck battles , u won’t take a penalty and the ai will win the battle most of the time . If you have a first line of Barzel Gretzky and super charged McDavid you will win more games lol

On an other note this game is the most fun I’ve had on hut in probably 5 years as I have skipped the last few completely, I get around 20-30 hours a week to play and besides the lack of exciting content in provided with enough fodder and rewards to have a competitive/partial theme team and have lots of fun when I get to play games.
