Brilliant, inspiring film. People like Derek Beaumont make the world go round, people of action, resilience and persistence. I'm looking forward to watching the mighty Hull Kingston Rovers batter Leigh at Wembley, but if we have to lose then I'd rather it was to Derek's team than any other. Passion and effort deserves a reward.

As a hull kr fan this guys passion and belief in his club is infectious great guy shame one of us has to loose on the 12th I belive leigh and HKR are leading the way when it comes to bringing something new to the match day experience

Derek is one of the best things that’s happened to Rugby League since 1895. He’s a passionate innovator for the game. What he did with the brand is genius. Challenge Cuo Final Vs HKR will be epic. He’s collected a team of misfit toys who’ve clicked. So proud of what he’s done for Super League.

Absolouty brilliant video been a Leigh fan for 38 years since I was 10 always wished I could win the lottery to make a great leigh team . Derek you’ve done that through your own hard work and dedication that’s unbelievable. Really got to take my hat off to you you’ve made me feel like I was 10 again can’t wait to go to Wembley! This is just the start if you build it they will come can see 12k attendances in future.

Couldn't agree more. I remember being at Hilton park on a wet midweek night in the mid 90s v Carlisle In front our lowest ever attendance. The difference to that is what dramas are made of

Great watch. I live in Leigh although I’m a Fax fan and thought the leopards rebrand was a joke at first. Turns out it was a genius move. Love him or loathe him RL needs more Derek Beamonts, people who have a passion and put their money where their mouth is.

I’m trying to put my finger on why the rebranding works. I laughed when I first heard about it, and laughed again when I saw the shirt design. I did like the black and gold training gear though, and I really like the new club badge. It’s been unbelievably successful though! Derek came across incredibly well in this. I honestly thought he was a bit of an attention seeking cretin with cash before watching this. I take that all back and doff my cap to him! I’ve no idea what drives him though. The love of the town, rugby team or his ego/pride.

Considering Leigh's been the whipping side when they come up usually I am impressed with this guy and to grow the sport he's got his head so far in and up on the game, I'd rather Leigh be a big side than Wigan / saints etc
