Work fine for me on an AM3+ board but not cooperating on AM4? The only issue i see when running install.cmd is CertUtil fails but processes the rest fine with operation successfully completed?

@@cs.studios Thanks man, realizing now its an issue with this ROG STRIX B550-F mobo. Been testing all day and turns out this board, which has 2 PCIe x16 slots, runs slot 1 at 16x speed and slot 2 at x4 🤷‍♂Can't even dumb it down in BIOS figuring it could do at least 8x8. Nope🤣lol. I left 2 screen grabs on the thread before deciding to pop out the M.2 and run off an SSD freeing up the lanes on slot 2. Still no avail

Do both of the gpus need to be from nvidia? You said it was possible to do sli with an 580 and a 470, but there's both RX and GTX models and i got confused. Does it work on a RTX 2070 super and a RX 580 for example?

GTX 570 and GTX 480. These are fermi gpus (super old). For newer drivers they need to be same GPUs. I don’t think anyone has figured out the 5xx drivers yet so it only works with gpus using the older driver I posted

Any chance this will allow SLi with a bridge? I have a Lenovo P520c and it is not working with SLi, even though it is certified for NVLink and the P520 that uses the same BIOS update is SLi certified.

How would performance compare on sli capable gpus. Would this method enable two non bridged gpus to achieve the same performance as two of the same gpus that are connected via sli bridge. Like dual 3090s for example? I am running dual 3090s with a bridge on an x570 with a 5950x, so i might give it a shot in my free time.

@@cs.studios I will try it out and let you know, I am currently upgrading the watercooling setup and a few other things so the rig wont be running for a but as I am waiting on parts to arrive so I can finish the upgrade. Did you mention that this would work on mixed model gpu combinations is that true? I have a titan rtx and 2080 ti which have the same GPU TU102 but the titan has more ram and few other minor differences like larger bus width, and max core bosst clock. Would it be possible to configure these to run in sli using this method?

I used to have 2 780 ti's in sli just because it looked cool. They should have improved SLI rather than discontinued it. I'd rather have 2x 200w cards than one 400

It won’t work with any gpu that requires a newer driver than the one in the video until someone figures out how to mod the newer 500 series driver

not sure what i did wrong but it seems like either windows update or nvidia have caught on to what i did here and keep removing my nvidia driver and trying to install the latest one. after running sli auto instead of the last modified file being nvlddmkm.sys it is changing nv_dispi.pnf. every couple of days when i try to use the computer something running in the backgroud has just upped and removed the driver and spams me with a force reinstall new driver notification so i have to go through this whole process all over again. i have blocked windows update with a couple of different methods and even went in to the scheduled tasks removing any scheduled event that seemed to have anything to do with an update. as well as microsoft edge which seems to be allowed to do whatever it wants. i'm getting pretty upset. i do not want edge and i do not want windows latest updates nor do i want to be forced to run nvidias latest driver. i just want to play my older sli compatible games on this 2x gpu build as i have made it. any advice/help with this would be greatly appreciated

Windows automatically updates drivers. Especially for the gpu. Forgot what I did but I was able to disable it from auto updating

I tried this with 2 2070 supers. I did get them to SLI with this method but most games wouldn't open, probably due to the old drivers or weird SLI config and the one game that did work (GTA V) was very stuttery and made fps worse. I can only imagine due to the lack of a bridge between the 2 cards.

I don’t have a bridge and it works. Guess it depends on the cpu/motherboard as well. Mine has full pcie x16 lanes to each cpu
