omg thank you for clearly explaining what has to be selected, and when, and why. I have been going crazy trying to figure out why the knife tool doesn't do anything for me. Now I know it's because I don't have my object selected before I start and/or don't have all the components of the object selected. PS I agree with the other commenter about going through each tool one by one. It's not as overwhelming to just learn about one tool at a time, and if there is a particular tool you need help with, you could just watch the relevant video. Thanks for the great tutorial!

All videos are super helpful. still got issue with cutting illustration. got one which is created from multiple curves, hot to cut it ? even if i will group it,it is not possible to cut with just one line. any tip for that?

Hi @k2ktheDj! Are both your curves selected at the same time? Also, what happens if they are NOT in a group? If they are in different groups, it seems like they won't be able to get cut with one stroke based on my experience. But if the multiple curves are at the same level in the layer stack, I can select both and cut them.
