Sliced courthouse steps quilt block

Courthouse steps block belongs to the log cabin family.
This video demonstrates how to slice 2 blocks with inverted colours in the diagonal to make 2 different block. The new blocks can be placed in many ways to make great quilt designs.

Hey there Teresa, I am so busy I've just completed to quilts in three weeks. Mum lives with me as does my daughter. So I sew on the binding and mum does the hand sewing because she loves it. I have two more grand children and Christmas is just around the corner. I've used your tutorials and have made some lovely blocks. Hope to see you soon. I appreciate that you show each step by placing what you have just sewn back into your block pieces and that you pin where your pieces meet, not leaving it to chance. Of course my favorite part is the layouts! You came up with some awesome ones! Will be watching this one bunches!

I try to join the points as accurately as possible so it could be closer to full or not. It will depend on your slicing and sewing accuracy too. The slicing methods sometimes requires some “creativity”.
