I’m the great-great-granddaughter of the daughter of a slave. I find that descendants of slaves from Cuba tend to be grateful to have been born free from slavery rather than victims. It is a very controversial topic this days, though

Tainos were a Native American tribe found in PR and Cuba. I am a descendant of them. In addition, Cuba also had the Ciboney and Guanajatabeyes tribes, though lesser in numbers and might.
