@@warldorwessarnoelt3936 yeah it was nicer a couple decades back. The food isn't as good, everything is more expensive, crime is up, its not as safe, and the parking sucks and is expensive. I used to pay $250 a month to park by my ex girlfriend apartment. Screw that place

Thank you for sharing this lovely footage. So often the stories of Black people are not told from our own perspective. The world needs to know that our lives are rich and significant and that what is portrayed of us in mainstream media and society isn't always accurate. We are beautiful, dignified, purposeful and constructive.

I love ❤️ my Cuban and African ancestors and know they are watching over me and protecting me. I feel their spirit everyday around me even when im praying Cuba 🇨🇺 forever ♥️ ❤️ 💙 I'm half Cuban and half African-American. I love ❤️ both of my cultures and see where I got my strength 💪

Interesting style choice puts it into perspective that they are doing true royal court room dancing by setting it to the classic music. Not just some made up provincial jig this is a dance with a name and a history

@@SLICEDocumentary you should do a doc on the Louisiana creoles..my. 6th greatgrandmother parents came from Africa..they had african names,had kids with a Frenchman then native american and Spanish got mixed in there, thus creating Louisiana creole language and culture while heavily surpressed practiced a form of african spiritual tradition

I’m the great-great-granddaughter of the daughter of a slave. I find that descendants of slaves from Cuba tend to be grateful to have been born free from slavery rather than victims. It is a very controversial topic this days, though

Do your homework and find out why the governors & lawmakers are trying to remove teaching about slavery and discrimination history in the US. Us American Descendants of Slavery don't want them to forget, and are demanding reparations, which is not victim mentality.

Cubans come in all of the colors of the rainbow. Many, like me, are white, but many more are black and still many more are mixed.

Tainos were a Native American tribe found in PR and Cuba. I am a descendant of them. In addition, Cuba also had the Ciboney and Guanajatabeyes tribes, though lesser in numbers and might. Please don't spread misinformation, black people in the Caribbean are descendants slaves brought over from Africa, they are not the Native tribes original to this land.
