I love savon de Marseille ❤️ I only buy from one of the four savonneries because there are a lot of fake Marseille soaps. Fake in the sense that they are mass manufactured somewhere else and have added ingredients or preservatives. Always check that your savon de Marseille is stamped 72% olive oil and has no additives and is made in… Marseille! I respect all the hard work of these artisans. Thank you.

Just got a bar off eBay. Haven’t tried it in the shower yet but it seems to be great for laundry. I had to saw it in half because it was a big bar and the part I sawed easily became powder, I used it to wash my clothes. I also put a piece on a soap dish in my restroom to wash my hands.

It is so good to wash the hair, rubbing a marseille soap on it. It might feel a bit strange at first, but what does it matter? It looks good and don't smell bad, and smells no perfumes which are toxic. But be aware of apple cider vinegar. It burns te hair follicles and the hair become dry, thin, soft and frizzy, doesn't grow in my neck any more, it ruined my hair. I am glad I found the marseille soap though.

@SuperLn19912 жыл бұрын
Just type "marseille soap" with the name of one of the very few authentic fabric: Fer à cheval or Marius Fabre are on amazon. Also, real one never have sent (like lavander or rose...) they only have 2 types: the green olive oil one for your body and the white one for laundry.

Knowledge that could be used in the rest of the world, should not be a closely guarded secret. What good is it to have the recepee but not le others do the same? The facory will anyway not dissapear. will not dissapear. Everyone need such natural soap, also for washing ones hair. Just rub the soap on the hair and it will never smell bad again, also when let alone for a week or even two.

Lots of products have guarded secrets, like irn bru soft drink in Scotland, or mcdonalds big mac sauce. The only problem with guarded secret ingredients is allergies.
@unicornsarereal8484 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. The original recipe is not so guarded anyway and it is why you have a lot contrefaçons on the market.

It's not really a secret. Marseille soap is a modification of Aleppo soap but with the addition of green clay local to the region.
@borkwoof6965 ай бұрын
Bruh there is nothing secret about soap making. It’s one of the simplest products that has been made for centuries and is produced all over the world. Nobody is harmed by this small artisan shop not giving out their specific recipes that they have worked hard for.

@@borkwoof696 Yeah, you are right. But when it comes to important univrsal knowledge, it was since ages past sectret.
