Awesome. Your videos are the most raw ones on KZbin, no wasted material. No plugs for products or brands! Just you and your rig! The best!

Great video. What is the lift and tire setup of the 4Runner? And did do body mount chop?
@nicholascooper11932 жыл бұрын
I can't believe these front diffs hold up as good as they do. That clamshell design really makes the gears hold together.

Something has to give, I would rather it be the axles than the diff. Upgrade the ales and expect to break the diff, easier to replace the axles.

We need Toyota drivers like you guys in SoCal. Most yotas down here only do fire trails and public parking lot hang outs.

Nice vid man, enjoyed. At 2:25, was that a chopped 80 series across the bridge?!

Love the videos!!! Appreciate you showing your adventures. Absolutely amazing 4Runner. I'm trying to move to an LT setup and was wondering.. how many times have you had issues with your front differential? I'm trying to figure out where all the weak links are if the diff housing needs beefing up or maybe the mounts etc...

Damn those RCVs are strong. You gonna ditch that add housing for the solid one?
@Amg_Offroad2 жыл бұрын
They definitely are strong and I’ll prolly jus stick to the add housing for now.
@btain76492 жыл бұрын
Wow! I guess rcv's are pretty strong.
@dirttales2 жыл бұрын
That's insane though, I'd rather snap a CV than destroy the front diff.. Talking about 15-30min of work on the trail vs hours if not days of work..
@Amg_Offroad2 жыл бұрын
@@dirttales yea I agree but this diff has been abused for the last 3 years on 37s,39s, and 40s. And atleast it wasn’t my ring&pinion and jus the housing so it’s not to much of an expensive fix.
@travissaffery2 жыл бұрын
@@Amg_Offroad so did you have a spare housing that you swapped out on the trail?
@lanix172 жыл бұрын
Did you puck the lights springs or the heavy springs on the Kings? I added some OME BP51s with heavy springs, but a jack under one tire expecting it to flex and it just lifted most of the car up with no stretch. (Didn’t even get near the bumps stops)

Did you extend your drive shaft to move the rear wheels further back?
@Amg_Offroad2 жыл бұрын
I did move my rear axle back but not much to where I had to extend my driveshaft
@RockLander818 Жыл бұрын
Sven, spoke to Brandin today. He said you had a front diff that grenaded. Was it the gears or the intermediate shaft and or intermediate housing?
@svennorman9138 Жыл бұрын
@@RockLander818 I accidentally turned on front locker when driving, broke the ARB air locker in the front - no damage to the front diff or axles. . The pinion gear in the rear diff lost teeth so replaced the rear diff gears.

I’m just getting into the 4Runner and Tacoma world I am definitely not doing any serious off-road like this maybe if I get a super old Tacoma or 4’runner or jeep. But it’s been a pain trying to buy a 4Runner the sales men over charge and are shady asf now I am just waiting till the car market crashing and I want the redesign of the 4 runner for my first new car. But these suv and tuck look nice in this video.
