Got to see the original lineup of Slick Shoes once. I think their lead singer was 16 years old at the time. Was a packed house since I don't believe they got to tour outside of Cali that often.

Awe back when we were just a bunch of adorable little skater punks. I saw these guys at Tooth and Nail's "Suburbia 2" show in 1998 when I was 21. I have to admit I had already tired of this genre and felt I had outgrown it. But these were fun times and these bands sound a heck of a lot better than what passes for "pop-punk" these days.

mxpx slick shoes and squad 5-0 were like the definition of my junior high and early highschool years, then I got into stuff like bad religion and 88 fingers louie, but I still listen to pop punk to this day, New Found Glory I think will forever be one of my fave bands.

So what if you don't like me? Underneath our skin we still bleed. I can deal with your sarcasm. It takes more than that to put me under your thumb. You think I'll follow you down. I'm not as dumb as you think. You think I'll follow you down. You'll never see me break. You must think that you are better. Just accept that we are all the same. What do I do to make you hate me? It doesn't matter, I'll turn the other cheek. I'm not as dumb as you think. I won't make the same mistakes you have. Feeble minded, black hearted. Your widened mouth and simple ideals.
