I like be in Louisiana so I know what the mud and water is like, that's why a lot of us run lifted SXSs with big tires 4-wheelers tend to float a lot easier. But just like you we carry extra stuff. Plus brake cleaner doubles as a emergency tire inflators for popping them back on to rims which playing in slick mud you sometimes slide into a tree popping the tire off a wheel

Stacy Reid ya, the major reason I carry brake cleaner is to reseat tire beads. I never go on a serious ride without extra gear and tools. Your handicapped without it, even the smallest issue can knock you out when you don’t have some basic tools and supplies. By no means is my main riding group into heavy duty mudding nor is my machine really setup for it. As most you guys know we are mostly into technical trail riding. When it comes to deep deep mud and water I’m out of my comfort zone as I proved in this video, lol. I bet if I brought some mudders to our home trails and hill climbs they would turn around and leave... lol. We’ve had a bunch of ppl come out with us in the past and turn around and leave after the first climb or two. I love riding in all types of terrain but am way more experienced in certain areas over others. I knew I’d get my chops busted hard for my little mud hole mishap here, lol. I just like to keep the rides “real” and not edit out things that make me or others look “bad” because it takes away from the actual experience. You can’t always win, lol.

AdrenalineJunkieProd I know a bunch like you say would turn tail and load up after seeing some of the hills I climb in Tennessee. Some my brother that lives there will not climb, he didn't like some of the hills at Hatfield and McCoy trails, but he says it pretty much best when he says I don't know much fear And I'm glad you don't mind showing us the fact you are outta your element in mud but you tend to do fairly well when you're at home in your type mud A lot of the problem on both sides whether in mud or in the hills is tires and reading the terrain

@@AdrenalineJunkieProd It is a great mystery....all I can say is about 3 weeks before this happened I shot the bull with Kerry on labor day for about 2 hours....he kept saying he was tired of the heat in Texas and wanted to go to Montana.....I later said to my wife that this was a weird conversation coming from him.....3 weeks later they shut down and moved Mud Nats......Kerry is a wonderful person, but I think he knew there were family problems with the death of the owner so who knows if it will ever open again....I miss it terribly....we, in Texas, could ride like y'all do there...just awesome.... :-(

I went to Mud Creek once for Mud Nats in 2016. Was hoping to go back again in the future. It was such an awesome and big place. The pit parties at night were unreal! Sucks it shut down. Where are they hosting Mud Nats now? That place was a complete zoo during Mud Nats. I guess River Run is probably getting a lot more business now.

Riding always comes with its surprises at the end of the day. My last trip I loaded the trailer and on my walk a round strapping & checking straps I noticed I sheared off my front sway bar. But as you said "If you ride them hard, you need to ready to fix them more often"!!!

Buddy in the RZR is a 15 year old girl ;) She handled it like a champ. He dad is the guy in the white RZR 900. They ride there often. We met through the KZbin Channel a while back and they met us at Durhamtown for the ride. She's driven the Ranger through that swamp before but she hit an underwater washout this time. Buddy in the 4 seater turbo? That's Fess from #RZRdivision and ya, he is a nut. Hes an awesome guy, we stayed with him in Atlanta for a few days. We also met on KZbin a while back. Hes a good rider and a blast to ride with. The Exhaust sounds evil now that I've gutted it completely. I love it, lol.

Brimstone was awesome. Only ended up riding one day cause my RZR had some technical issues midway through the day and my buddies YXZ also had some issues. I really want to go back to Brimstone this spring if I can pull it off, I'd also like to ride Royal Blue and Windrock while I'm down there.

Durhamtown is decent. Best part about it is the one-way trails. On your next trip , you need to hit the two " Fast " trails , super fun. Also didn't see you hit the big hill clime area. That one mound isn't it. There's a spot that is steep and has four different places to climb it. And there's a boulder garden going up a hillside if you like to do any rock crawling. All in all , it's a fun place to spend a weekend.

My wife sank my Teryx 4 back in the summer and I had to even abandon it over night for a buddy to come back with me the next day to get it out. Took forever to get it running decent again. Still seems like my brakes are softer afterwards than they used to be.

Ya, wasn't expecting or planning on that type of riding. We usually don't ride deep mud, my machine isn't built for it. My concern for snorkeling is choking off the airflow on the turbo charged machine. I'm not sure the intake would flow enough. I'd probably need dual intake snorkels.

Yep! It's a mess to play in, but worth it right up until the clean up! We ride quads, and used to do a lot of bogging. It got too expensive, replacing parts every time you do. The clay is brutal on the machines. It's a lot of fun though. We hope to build our channel up enough to get SXS's one day. I've been subbed for about a year now, and love your videos! Glad to have ya'll in the South, hope ya'll enjoyed it! Hope to see you back when the conditions are a little better! May is the best month for riding down here, in my opinion. Not quite as hot as it can get, but warm enough to be enjoyable.

Durhamtown is nice but you have got to come to Tennessee and visit Windrock. Would be happy to show you around if you give me a heads up. Our group (Southern Land Riders) rides there a lot.

Hey man. I feel that the 900S/1000S platforms are super reliable, super capable and also fun to drive. They have enough power for most things but not enough to hurt themselves easily. The bigger machines have more suspension but suspension on 900S feels great too. Bigger machines will do bettter in wide open high speed stuff but that’s the only place they really destroy the smaller machines. Most important factor is always driver 😉😉

Good question. No. Why? because I have it routed up high and it vents out at the level of the CVT intake near the top of the bed. I'll make a video of it in the future. I also have a cover over the vent to prevent anything like mud from falling in there. I would have to really submerse the machine deep to get water to actually find its way back to the BOV. I though about this a lot before I installed it. I LOVE the sound of the atmospheric vent.

Next time you're in the mood for a more relaxed ride check out boggs and boulders in Alabama. They allow riding 24 hour's a day. You can also toss back a few beers while on the trails, it's permitted. I know what you're thinking. Who wants to take a risk riding with intoxicated riders? But actually everyone there was very tame and relaxed just cruising the trails riding with manners. I spent three day's out there. It was great. Everyone was friendly and I did not see any accident's.

No problem Colton. If you do mostly trail riding I think it will do excellent. If you plan on taking it out on a track or doing a lot of wide open high speed riding the large machines will out perform it. However, on the tighter more technical trails you will probably have the upper hand due to the slightly smaller size and increased agility.
