Hey Justin, Love your tutorials and thank you so much for what you do. You've provided a light for me and you made my art so much better lol. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to make an IG page that looks like Anderson.Paak's as far as the illustrations and video in the picture goes. (instagram.com/anderson._paak/)(instagram.com/micah.my.mind/) I hope to understand the creativity and execute the same look and feel. Thanks in advance.

I think the way they design their pages is by finding out the dimensions of an instagram picture, then multiplying it by 3 and using those dimensions in photoshop. So instagram's layout is 1080 x 1080 px, so if you want to make your page 3 by 3, you'd multiply those values and thats what you make your photoshop document. From there, you start making your art and what I'd do is make a group of lines that separates your pics from eachother. If you make all your stuff on different layers and such (i'm not too good with photoshop but), you should be able to copy the layer onto a document that's 1080x1080px. Do this for all of your pictures. There may be an app that takes an image and reduces each of it to their own images but idk

The rotobrush tool in after effects does a very good job tracking masks. I've masked transitions just like this in 10 or so minutes using that method instead of frame by frame.

Thank you for: 1.) Not having a long (or at all) intro with dub step. 2.) Not telling me to "smash" that like button. 3.) Just getting to the point. For some reason tutorials are just chocked up with a 2 minute dub step, cheap pointless intro followed with some California looking dude yelling at me to smash a like button and buy his lut pack, with virtually no real time put into actually explaining what the click bait title said I'd learn. /rant over. Thank you for your great video!

Hey! Had a quick question. I followed all the steps but when I connected the points at 1:55 there it did not mask the layer. Are there any suggestions or quick fix for this?
@travelwithbiker
@travelwithbiker 6 жыл бұрын
JearbearChen same i did not mask for me either you got any solution ?
@thejcheneats
@thejcheneats 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think for me my mistake was that I was not staying on Mask 1 on the same video clip in which I want to mask. If you click elsewhere and try selecting the the video clip again it may create another mask which you don't want. Always stay on Mask 1 on the same video clip. Please let me know if this was helpful or not!
@travelwithbiker
@travelwithbiker 6 жыл бұрын
JearbearChen i rectified that mistake as well but still that black patch which you see when he first completes the mask .... my automatic selection does not come and that black patch is not occurring at all
@thejcheneats
@thejcheneats 6 жыл бұрын
My only suggestion is to try making a simple square mask on any part of your video clip and find out how to fix the automatic selection before proceeding to mask more complex shapes for the transition

Would it be possible to just make one clip 24 fps because in the same video I have a part that I slowed down by 70% and I like the 60 fps for the slow-motion. I'm still really new to premiere so any tips would help.

Thanks, id say it can take about 10-30 minutes to mask out frame by frame for something with moving parts like people. If you are working with something more simple like a building or wall, it could be a lot quicker because its a straight line.

I've had the same problem, you probably have multiple masks open. If you close the other masks (mask (1), mask (2), mask (3), etc) except for the mask with the acctual selection it will show the black masking.

I just figured it out, make sure when youre masking that the actual clip you want to mask is selected. Look on the sequence timeline and make sure the clip is highlighted. Then mask it.
