My new #1 favorite. Great value, awesome strawberry watermelon bubble gum scent, insane foam, unrivalled lubrication, and no residue or streaks. It checks all the boxes. The lubrication really stands out the most. I've never seen a soap be anywhere close to this slippery, it just doesn't give up. Turtle Wax really knocked it out of the park.

Currently 8 degrees in Massachusetts. I'm 44 now and I feel the same exact way you do. Such a hassle to do anything, or get motivated for that matter. I wash in the garage using a propane heater but it still just sucks. I can't get water out there as it will freeze so I'm stuck to a Worx hydroshot and 5 gallon bucket of warm water. My hands are also problematic so I wear Kinco Aquanot gloves. Screw winter.

Merino Wool makes the cold less miserable. I like the socks from Stance. I’ve hiked up Machu Picchu and XC Skiing at grand Tetons by Jackson Hole in 13° with wind chill. The stance merino wool is great for heat retention but also breathable. Our feet/hands has the most arteries and veins (via anastamosies) so keeping those areas warm help us regulate overall body temperature. 10/10 would recommend Stance or any merino wool blend socks.

I live in a cold climate and wash my cars outside often. I always rinse THOROUGHLY with a pressure washer and hot water before I foam. I rinse again with the pressure washer and then foam again. By using warm /hot water and moving quickly I keep things from freezing up. I let the foam sit a bit and then drive it into the warm garage. I use a large plush microfiber towel to wipe/ wash the car in the garage. I fold the towel down to 8"x8" squares and wipe one panel or section at a time before I fold the towel to a new clean section. I consider the lower parts of the car as a section and wipe it with a separate pass. Once done I pull it outside again and rinse it off. I don't have a drain in my garage and this process allows me to hand wash a car on the coldest of days. Its a bit more work but it works for my situation

For our shop, slick and slide has replaced reset. In my opinion it's as good, if not superior, in most areas. The big things I look at are lube and rinse-ability. This checks the box on both and the price is too attractive to pass on. First TW product we've taken on in our shop

I just use the Bilt Hamber products but also like Carpro Reset. All are getting low so I'll most likely replace them all with this TW stuff IF it hits the UK in time! I don't clean my cars when it's very cold but for winter washes, I like the following: Snow foam, PW rinse, apply shampoo via the snow foam lance (here a hybrid product that does both stages is a help), and use two warm water buckets for the mitt. Removes exposure to cold water, especially if drying with a leaf blower.

Thanks Brian. Really appreciate the video. For the UK market, unfortunately its 4 times the price of the US, so the cost per wash goes up significantly over just about any other shampoo. Canadian here, QC to be precise. We had a ton of snow (more than 5 meters where I live) and way too much extreme cold temperatures. People around here are so sick and tired of the winter that they shovel the snow remaining from their front yard into the street to help it melt faster, this is no joke. So for us who absolutely live our cars and love to take care of them, spring cannot come quickly enough. If you don't have a heated garage around here you will have to rent one to detail your car in the winter. It's just impossible to do outside even in the warmer days it's still way below freezing. Anyway, I love Turtle Wax products and I will absolutely try this one out, it really seems to make so much beautiful thick foam, cannot wait!! Thank you for your video and have a great day Brian!

Hey Brian! I have a question that ties into using any auto shampoo. Would you think that auto shampoos in general would degrade surface protection, compared to let’s say a rinseless wash solution? I ask this because we know that any auto shampoo is going to have surfactants in it to help break down dirt. These surfactants are missing in rinseless wash solutions as they are primarily using polymers to encapsulate dirt and provide lubrication. Even if the shampoo is ph neutral would these surfactants alone have the strength to diminish protection on the vehicle over time? And if that being the case then can we say that using primarily rinseless washing techniques will help extend the life of wax’s, sealants, and coatings? Great video and I love the new intro as well!
@apexdetail852 жыл бұрын
They do deminish long term. Also the best way to open the pores so to speak of coating as they age. Rinseless products cant do that effectively. Great question.
@spencerb34292 жыл бұрын
@@apexdetail85 Thanks! I love detailing and thinking about it enough makes me wonder about certain aspects of it. I’ve been moving over to the rinseless washes as of late (due to colder climates) but I never really considered any pores being opened by surfactants.
