I used it on my wife's car and was EXTREMELY happy with the results. After one week, the car looked really clean even though it rained. It's a daily drive and has not been protected with a product for a while. I'm so impressed with turtle wax that I have been building up an arsenal of their products, especially after watching your videos with all their products. BTW I live in Australia. Mate, get yourself a battery-operated heated jumper or jacket. Thank you for your content. Keep up the good work

My new #1 favorite. Great value, awesome strawberry watermelon bubble gum scent, insane foam, unrivalled lubrication, and no residue or streaks. It checks all the boxes. The lubrication really stands out the most. I've never seen a soap be anywhere close to this slippery, it just doesn't give up. Turtle Wax really knocked it out of the park.

I'm with you Brian, from Montreal here and I'm sick of winters! When I call it quits in a few years I'll be spending the 4+ winter months somewhere much warmer. I have a double garage and my vehicles get washed in doors once the temps hit the freezing point

Currently 8 degrees in Massachusetts. I'm 44 now and I feel the same exact way you do. Such a hassle to do anything, or get motivated for that matter. I wash in the garage using a propane heater but it still just sucks. I can't get water out there as it will freeze so I'm stuck to a Worx hydroshot and 5 gallon bucket of warm water. My hands are also problematic so I wear Kinco Aquanot gloves. Screw winter.

Merino Wool makes the cold less miserable. I like the socks from Stance. I’ve hiked up Machu Picchu and XC Skiing at grand Tetons by Jackson Hole in 13° with wind chill. The stance merino wool is great for heat retention but also breathable. Our feet/hands has the most arteries and veins (via anastamosies) so keeping those areas warm help us regulate overall body temperature. 10/10 would recommend Stance or any merino wool blend socks.

I live in a cold climate and wash my cars outside often. I always rinse THOROUGHLY with a pressure washer and hot water before I foam. I rinse again with the pressure washer and then foam again. By using warm /hot water and moving quickly I keep things from freezing up. I let the foam sit a bit and then drive it into the warm garage. I use a large plush microfiber towel to wipe/ wash the car in the garage. I fold the towel down to 8"x8" squares and wipe one panel or section at a time before I fold the towel to a new clean section. I consider the lower parts of the car as a section and wipe it with a separate pass. Once done I pull it outside again and rinse it off. I don't have a drain in my garage and this process allows me to hand wash a car on the coldest of days. Its a bit more work but it works for my situation

Do you have a recommendation for a drying spray? I've tried black diamond beadmaker and xtreme solutions topper but neither is a simple solution. Black diamond has to dry/cure to get a shine and xtreme seems to extend the drying process and is hard to get fully removed. Thoughts?

For our shop, slick and slide has replaced reset. In my opinion it's as good, if not superior, in most areas. The big things I look at are lube and rinse-ability. This checks the box on both and the price is too attractive to pass on. First TW product we've taken on in our shop

@@mujjumanProbably not as well as some high PH soaps. It’s a ph balanced soap so it won’t strip waxes and coatings. It’s has a dilution ratio of 400:1 I think. It’ll last you a lot longer than most soaps especially. I’m surprised your shop bought it, Turtle wax products are generally viewed as consumer products, but it’s nice to see it getting recognition. Their hybrid solutions is a step above.

I just use the Bilt Hamber products but also like Carpro Reset. All are getting low so I'll most likely replace them all with this TW stuff IF it hits the UK in time! I don't clean my cars when it's very cold but for winter washes, I like the following: Snow foam, PW rinse, apply shampoo via the snow foam lance (here a hybrid product that does both stages is a help), and use two warm water buckets for the mitt. Removes exposure to cold water, especially if drying with a leaf blower.

Thanks Brian. Really appreciate the video. For the UK market, unfortunately its 4 times the price of the US, so the cost per wash goes up significantly over just about any other shampoo. I make it approx £2.5-2.8 per wash. Its unfortunate as I might have had a look at it. Oh well I'll just stick to BH auto wash at £0.10 per wash and a 2000:1 dilution ratio :)

If I use a car shampoo, I use Malco Prizm Shampoo, about $15.00 per gallon. If car is ceramic coated, I will add TW Ceramic Wash to the Prizm. Majority of time, during the winter, I use a mix of Power Clean & ONR or ONR with Wax. The current temperature this am is 6 degrees, added wind chill about 20 below. Brian, you will have these cold temps tomorrow and or Saturday! Happy Cat Care...

Great video Brian and I really like the new intro. I just washed my car this morning (I live in south Florida now--no more Pennsylvania for me) and I used the new TW Slick and Slide shampoo. I used it in both a foam cannon and for a bucket wash and it worked very well. It's almost 60 degrees now and I haven't hooked up the hose or gotten the power washer out yet. I'm almost out now so I guess I'll try this having heard some very good things. I try to keep my detailing supplies at an absolute minimum since I need to store them over the winter inside. I only have an IK Foam 2 pump sprayer so this lingering foam might work out well. I just did the white Malibu the other day, and was pleased at how well the Ethos Ceramic held up since early Fall. Headed up to the spray wash and hosed er down, then used Ethos D3FY for a waterless clean. Thing looks like new again. TW has definitely come out strong again, good to see the competition.

I’m happy with their Flex Wax (thanks to you and Pan) even if I have difficulty to find it where I leave. Here in Europe we don’t have such a wide choice of shampoos but Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam is definitely my favourite product. When comes to price/cleaning power ratio ... well €25 ($28.50) for 5L is hard to beat and no matter the price the product is amazing (that’s how much I like it). Brian, could you please offer me a good PH neutral pre-wash shampoo for my IK FOAM PRO 12 Sprayer? Since BH Auto-Foam is working great (when comes to cleaning power) but doesn’t offer much foam,. I would like to mix it (eventually) with some other product which will offer let say “tons of suds”. Thank you in advance and thank you for your time and effort to educate us.

Canadian here, QC to be precise. We had a ton of snow (more than 5 meters where I live) and way too much extreme cold temperatures. People around here are so sick and tired of the winter that they shovel the snow remaining from their front yard into the street to help it melt faster, this is no joke. So for us who absolutely live our cars and love to take care of them, spring cannot come quickly enough. If you don't have a heated garage around here you will have to rent one to detail your car in the winter. It's just impossible to do outside even in the warmer days it's still way below freezing. Anyway, I love Turtle Wax products and I will absolutely try this one out, it really seems to make so much beautiful thick foam, cannot wait!! Thank you for your video and have a great day Brian!

Hey Brian! I have a question that ties into using any auto shampoo. Would you think that auto shampoos in general would degrade surface protection, compared to let’s say a rinseless wash solution? I ask this because we know that any auto shampoo is going to have surfactants in it to help break down dirt. These surfactants are missing in rinseless wash solutions as they are primarily using polymers to encapsulate dirt and provide lubrication. Even if the shampoo is ph neutral would these surfactants alone have the strength to diminish protection on the vehicle over time? And if that being the case then can we say that using primarily rinseless washing techniques will help extend the life of wax’s, sealants, and coatings? Great video and I love the new intro as well!
@apexdetail85

They do deminish long term. Also the best way to open the pores so to speak of coating as they age. Rinseless products cant do that effectively. Great question.

@@apexdetail85 Thanks! I love detailing and thinking about it enough makes me wonder about certain aspects of it. I’ve been moving over to the rinseless washes as of late (due to colder climates) but I never really considered any pores being opened by surfactants. I’ll plan to add a traditional 7 mitt 1 bucket wash from time to time.

Nice new intro and great review. I just used the TW wash yesterday as a clay mitt lube out of my foam canon. I thought it worked great. No visible marring even the areas I scrubbed a bit. I will have to test its cleaning ability vs Reset. Curious to see how it cleans the Indiana salt off. As far as dealing with the cold, if it is above freezing I like to wash outside. I found some vinyl freezer gloves on Amazon that have great insulation. Love them so far for cold weather washing.

WOWO ew intro nice. Thanks for sharing this product. Maybe next time show the results after the first wash to see how it removed any dirt. I hear you about the cold I live in Iowa and it is -2 today and my cars are filthy and I can't wash them makes me nuts seeing them dirty :)

Oh I am done with winter already - every year I want to move south more and more! I assume this shampoo is safe for coated cars? I just had paint correction and ceramic done on my car and he recommended an Adam's shampoo, but I have been a fan of the Hybris line up.

Anyone have feedback on Brian’s own design Apex Auto Wash (updated) vs this TW Pure wash? Both are meant to be slick, foam well, and leave nothing behind. Any idea which is slicker, has better cleaning power, is a better value, etc? I came back to rewatch this video to see if there were any comments in this comparison.
