A special shout out for the key-pressed references in the bottom left of the screen. You guys deserve to be known far and wide. Great work ! And, not to forget, you are not using the time-consuming "zoom-in-zoom-out to show where exactly the click happens" thingie. +1 for that too!

Great work so far!! Any creative ways how to make charts when you have lots of small values but few extremely large values? (I tried second axis, and while it works, it looks so so to me... I was hoping to figure out how to create a bar graph that cuts out the gap/difference between the smallest values and the largest value. Thanks!

what version do I need? My PP doesn't have the option "to paste special" (16.69) 365 subscription, it only offers Microsoft office Graffic Object and others that are pictures & PDF.

The empirical research shows that humans experience extreme perceptual bias issues when comparing relative magnitudes of 3D objects. Edward Tufte and Stephen Few both have good content on the weaknesses of the 3D pie chart. A 2D bar chart is a much better choice!

I seemed to do it just now, it was fine. Can you answer the following: 1. Did you follow exactly what was said in this guide? Did you make a chart in excel? Did you then paste it on your slide, then press Ctrl + X, then paste special and then make it Enhanced Meta File? 2. What version of PowerPoint are you using?
@janenoch5 жыл бұрын
The outline on my chart won’t go away. I put it on “no outline” and there are still white lines dividing the pie chart. And the colors didn’t continue on the sides of my chart. The colors are only on the top. Can somebody help?

what if paste special > Picture (enhanced metafile) is not available? Did everything as described in the video but my dialog for paste special looks different (office 2017) - missing on Mac OS maybe?
@SlideCow6 жыл бұрын
This is definitely a Mac OS thing since Enhanced Metafiles are primarily made through Windows. There are workarounds, but you need Illustrator.

I appreciate the illustration tutorial, but this chart does not benefit from a 3D design. You have not added another dimension of data to increase the amount of information displayed-you’ve made both the x/y and z axes reflect the same bit of information, resulting in a volume relationship is inaccurate and deceiving. These things are important in presenting information. Fractions work better in a 2D pie chart. Or make the volume reflect the relationship proportions.
