These cards are absolutely adorable! Something that works to hold stuff when you use liquid adhesive is clothes pins. I have regular size and mini ones. Then you can still use your tweezers. They make perfect clamps as long as it not very deep of course.

I personally prefer doing it this way but you could absolutely ink first, die cut second! ;)
