Dan, the test days are good, but remember that’s what they are, stop overthinking it, your a good racing driver listen to the car, let the car do the work. As soon as you start overthinking the more you will fight the car and that’s when mistakes are made. You understand car control, balance, weight shift, you are at your best when you just feel the car and let the car do the work. What you can’t do is have a bad test day and take that into the race with you. Tomorrow is another day, fresh start, yesterday has been and gone. Concentrate on just racing and you’ll be fine👍

I once bedded in a set of track pads. Went to some *cough* private roads and lots of hard acceleration and braking, I remember thrashing it round a few roundabouts too . Got back and I had left a pair of pliars on the scuttle.🤣

Danny, congratulations on two years of racing, you've made great strides, just look at Snetterton. And now with a car with a bad wishbone, and only a second slower than the Campion, that's not bad Danny.

Great video Dan 👍 Congratulations on 2 years of racing 👌Smashing it 👍 Testing sessions do seem a bit shit when you get a couple of red flags. They should try and put similar speed cars on together too 👍

Danny, I've been meaning to ask what you're using for strings on your alignment setup. I've always used fishing line wrapped around the poles but then inevitably knock one loose. It almost looks like you're using chalk lines or something to have a weighted end.

To me the test day paid off in the sense you had the lower balljoint joint issue on the test day and not the race day. Suppose that kind of thing could be sussed out on any shakedown/track outing. Less mechanical faff on race day now...? Maybe 👀😅

you make a good point, unfortunately you will see I did the alignment twice again on the race day xD

On another note... I think u might want to have slight foward rake of your car ride height...(rear slightly higher than front) Especially in these kind of track with alot of uphill on corner exit... And probably stiffer compression damper setting at the rear... Would be nice if u have abioe track time and try with different suspension setup

Maybe you should just get a semi decent front/rear dash cam and leave it in the car all the time, should get full races on it in good enough quality if you just wanting to show a bit of excitement the main go pro cameras didn't catch.
