There’s really no words to describe how much slim’s music has influenced every fiber of my body and soul. Thank you thank you thank you, for preserving this wonderful piece of musical history. I hope all the good people are taking care of themselves. Be safe and kind. We will all be together again someday soon.

I lived in Denver and witnessed them in this early era and it was life changing. This album especially captured the mystery, the hypnotism of this christening. We would also take the flyers off the record stores and vintage furniture stores as mementos and now they are framed. Whenever they played in the cities I was in , I made sure I brought company. It was guaranteed it was something they had never experienced or understood. This also introduced me to the Denver gentlemen and 16horsepower. The 404! The pussy cat , the early skylark ... wow.... 🖤 Enjoy!

I just want to thank you for putting this up. I saw these guys so many times years ago and thought they were the best live band ever. Still a good band but those years with FH Jr. and the rest were fucking magical.

They are better now, IMO, with Munly. The live shows are unreal.

I saw them during that period too. Over the years I’ve seen the Auto Club more times than I can count. First time I saw Frank play River of Jordan was otherworldly. I admit, my attendance trailed off after Frank left. I see them maybe once a year if I’m lucky. I still appreciate Slim so much, he’s just a great man, and he’s still got a great band. That classic lineup though, (Cessna Hauser Taylor Killough), I would gladly pay a fortune and climb into a questionable time machine on the off-chance I could go see that first show again. Who knows, maybe I did.

This is such a great album. Every incarnation of scac is amazing but I agree, the FHJr. Years were so crazy and fun! What a perfect chemistry with the early years. The best band freaking ever!! Also, I LOVE how pedal steel guitar heavy the early auto club was. Rebecca Vera does a bang on job playing though. She really has a handle on that thing. PSGuitar is probably too three musical instruments. Thanks scac💜

Frank Hauser Jr. played stand up bass, accordion, guitar, and wrote quite a few of their songs. After parting ways with the Auto Club he fronted The Kalamath Brothers, with Kevin Soll from 16 Horsepower on bass.
