Summer of 2011 fresh out high school, one of my friend had this dvd in his car like the hood dvds they sell, this song and that pretty brown round zro and what i be on by devin, just to name a few...anyways back in those days a gram was 20 dollars. We had almost like our own chilling routine, where in the day we all got our shit done and at night 4 of us each had 5 on it and let me tell you thay 1 gram got us super blown especially since we always hot boxed. After smoking we would just stand outside the car in my friends parking lot. It was a really nice quiet neighborhood of almost all retirees. We would get lost in conversation, trip out with the lights, swore that there was big ass faces on the trees, talked about the parties we went to that prior weekend, and where or what we were gonna do this weekend....idk for those 2 months of summer we were carefree, young, full of life and ambition. The summer consisted of chilling, smoking, partying, working on the weekends in the daytime to earn a bit of money for some fresh clothes, cause when the sun went in and the moon came out it was party time.....its like time stopped those 2 months and the only thing that was important to us, was family, friends, and having a good time.....but all good things must come to an end. After that summer my life went to sh all due to my poor choices, our tight group of friends eventually drifted apart as we went on our own ways, and shit just kept on sucking more and more...all the way up to the present day, in a hole i never even knew i could fall into, 28 no life, never go out, only ever hang out with 2 other friends, my fears as a child and teen became a reality, didnt do shit with my life, wasted my youth, wasted time, lost out on past girlfriends and any other chance at love, squandered away my talents, and never got out the hood. Ive wasted my 20s and frankly dont look forward to the 30s or whatever older years i reach. Not cause i dont want to grow up, but because its another year wasted.....sounds gloomy i know, not suicidal, cause i dont have the balls or courage to kill myself, i just ask god to take me......now i see i peaked in high school and its really disheartening to say the least.....and have become the guy stuck in the past......but when i play this song it takes me back, and for 3, maybe four minutes, im transported back to those summer nights, we arenin rotation, but right after you hit the blunt, the mic is passed, and have to keep up with our impromptu freestyling sessions.....like michael scott said , "i wish we knew when we are in the good old days when we look back in the future....
