I WAS A YOUNG SAILOR IN SAN DIEGO. I WENT TO SLIMS CONCERT AND ENJOYED IT SO MUCH. LATER I WAS WALKING DOWN THE STREET IN SAN DIEGO AND MET SLIM IN PERSON WHAT A THRILL THAT WAS. HE TALKED TO ME FOR A LONG TIME AND I TOLD HIM HOW MUCH I ENJOYED THE SHOW. HE WAS A PERFECT GENTLEMAN .

I met Slim once and likewise spoke to him after a show. He didn't take himself for granted or had a swelled head, it was enough that he could sing for us a while and that we could share the joy of the performance. He was a very humble man.

I heard Slim sing a few songs when I was younger, but really discovered him this year on You Tube, and I can't stop listening. He is awesome and handsome both. What a beautiful family man and a humble gentleman he was. Great singer. When he sang Rose Marie in Ireland on stage, the crowd just went wild.

Why can't singers sing today? They have NO talent. It's all amphilied. J ust noise. Un trained voices like Slim Whitman Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Will Nelson, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, Hank Snow, and many more. They are a God given talent and uncomparable. Just my opinion. But I do love Slim.
