yk i was thinking that too but now i think ive OVERthought about it and... what if gegg was less of a joke than we think? if there was lore going on since the first day then surely quackity had some sort of idea of what to do with gegg other than it just being a joke from the start. if there was no lore path with gegg surely no one would try to incorperate him right? I feel like if not all then most of the server players at least have SOME kinda idea of where the lore is headed. maybe ive been overthinking GEGG too much. i just feel like if gegg wasnt part of some kinda lore still they'd have taken gegg away from charlie after the original gegg storyline didnt work out.

@@LilPulp Based on what I've heard from Phil on his streams, they know about as much as we do about the lore of the island. Of course it's even more limited because of metagaming and we as the audience are able to find out more from all the different perspectives. It's kind of similar to games like D&D in this aspect. For example, a DM can introduce what they believe to be a meaningless NPC that the party decides to adopt and come to love them. That wasn't in the DM's original plan but a good DM will incorporate that into their story and will expand the character. That's how I see Gegg. The characters might not enjoy Gegg, but I'm sure the content creators love him and the audience most definitely loves him.

See, the issue with Forever's theory that the eggs were the previous inhabitants is that Charlie is not a human. Canonically, he is a slime entity of some kind who can shapeshift. His normal form is that of a slimy humanoid, and his transformation into Gegg is only possible because he can shapeshift. Also, he is not the only person on the server who is not a normal human. For example, both Philza and Jaiden are some sort of winged humanoid (I'm not sure if they are the same species but they are at least not humans). Foolish is a totem. There are more that I can't think of right now, but basically just because everyone is some sort humanoid does not mean they are all actually humans and don't possess powers that other people do not. Also, because Charlie is a slime entity, his various forms all are slime-based. Parts of his humanoid form have slime clearly visible, and Gegg is green with similar spots of slime on his shell. The other eggs are normal, so we can confirm that they are not slimes shapeshited into eggs like Gegg is.

Also because of his goofy personality he's a bad liar and uses the excuse that he's "meat" or "bones" whenever someone questions his existence.
