thanks for the tips mate. I will be giving my first Ring Lock fence ago shortly. I have never installed one, hence why I have ended up here. We have just built our home on 4.3 acres about an hour north of Perth in WA. The rear fence currently is just some star pickets and three wires. It appears to have always been a "Temp Fence" We are planning on getting some Dorper sheep to help with keeping the grasses down. So the rear fence needs to be built. Any advice? Types of Ring Lock? The three other properties that meet at the rear have proper fencing and there are existing huge strainer posts. they look like old Power Poles, possibly 250mm thick. My thoughts were that the strainer posts would be big enough to handle the fence strained? The fence will be 100m long with star pickets. If I get the rear fence done ok, then I will give the house paddock fence a shot. That will be much more involved, with multiple gates and recesses etc... I need to find a video on how to use a fence strainer... No idea how to do that yet. Cheers One Life, One Search, Peace Out, Shane.

With you Slim, about time somebody has talked sence about fencing! Love your video, not a big fan of stay blocks, honestly adjustable type are better, doesn't need to be Warratah, big fan of you taking pride in your work and getting them bad boys down 4 foot + will keep watching and subscribe cheers Beau

Honestly, Thank you so much!, i've been looking for this information. After years of struggle with timber i put up a sheep mesh last season using galvanised steel posts and my own invention for end strainers using galvanised steel tube concreted into ground. I'm just done with hiring an excavator to dig holes and concrete in straining posts, too much effort and expense and time messing with concrete and stone to ensure the strainer stays put. Your experience, professionalism and honesty is much appreciated. Best of luck with channel and your business you are a mighty man as we say in Ireland. Thumbs up and a Subscribe from me.
