I've gotten to the point where I do look forward to Slim's video's. So mellow, well edited and Slim seems to have a batural knack for finding the best and beautiful camping sites I've ever seen. Just leatning as much as I can until my home is paid off in just over three years. I'm a 6 yr lung cancer. I defeated the cancer but the chemo and radiation beat me, lol. I'm very thankful to be alive. After all, in the beginning the doctor told me, 'I ggive you about 90 days', thank you Lord Jesus! Plans are to pay house off, buy a small travel rig and then pickba direction and camp wherever the road leads me. Haven't been camping in way too many years so I'm dreaming and looking forward to it.... I live in the far south area of the U.S. would love to one day maybe meet Slim on the road and sit back and drink a cup of coffee with him. Love his style, so laid back. Just enjoying life as it should be. Wishing you nothing less than the best on your adventures Slim. Keep on doing what you do, you cannot imagine how many you have inspired.

The entire Dandelion plant is edible, from blossom to root. The flowers can be eaten cooked or raw, (there is a YT video of a bush crafter I follow from the UK who makes battered and deep fried dandelion flowers. They looked delicious!) The stems and leaves made a great salad green and the roots can be cleaned and cooked like a root veggie or dried, roasted and ground into a fantastic coffee substitute. I tried my hand at making some dandelion coffee for the first time this year, with some roots I picked out of my backyard. I actually quite liked it. Very close in flavour to coffee but with more of a fruity flavour. Quite delicious and easy to process. It would make a great evening-around-the-fire "mug-up" drink just before hitting the sack as there is no caffeine.

Just beyond Fort Nelson you may see black bears near the side of the highway! And, you're now entering some of the most scenic areas of northern B.C. Cheers, Steve Edit: Do not rely on the printed maps for seeing where the gas stations are - I made that mistake and was relying on a gasoline station being open ... it wasn't, and was out of business. Then I had to make a tough decision to turn back or go forward not knowing if I had enough gas for either direction. The good news is, you will see pick up trucks carrying large external tanks for stranded motorists - the bad news is the price you'd have to pay for such a service and the time you'd have to wait for one to show up.

"Beans, beans the musical fruit." Oh, sorry Slim got carried away. Looks like a really beautiful area to visit. In the meadow noticed that you kept looking over you shoulder, was there something out there the you heard, but couldn't see? That is the one thing when you are by yourself. Knowing your surroundings. Anyway another great video. Take care and be safe out there.

I was thinking about the beans limerick when Slim mentioned having beans for diner. At least no one else will be around if/when they start to work. 😉
