I love this dual battery kit! This is one of my mods for my blue and orange slingshot.

At 3:56 it shows the battery terminals on the inside of the tray, later on they moved to the outside of the tray - which it should be. Also, at 5:33 installing the VSR, make sure it is closer to the battery than the edge of the tray as it impedes the tray when installed. Otherwise, a good instructional video.

I’m surprised the VSR box holes in the tray aren’t pre drilled since it’s a kit. It would have been nice if the ground wire for the VSR had a factory crimped eyelet & heat shrink. Considering the proximity to the rear tire and the water it would be exposed to.

The VSR holes are not pre-drilled because if you choose to utilize a different battery, the position of the VSR will need to move over a bit

Hello Mark, the 2020+ Slingshot Models have the primary battery up front and under the hood, which allowed the MFG to design a battery tray to utilize that back left storage compartment for the second battery location. The 2015-19 Slingshot Models already utilize that left rear storage compartment for the primary starter battery. For that reason, this particular kit would not be compatible with the 2015-19 Slingshot models.

I'm not sure what you mean by issues, but a battery tender is definitely recommended if parked for the winter.

Sorry, I parked mine for the winter, put the tender on and it sounds like the relay continues to click between the two batteries about every 45 seconds. Not sure if that is normal. I unplugged it for the time being. @@Slingmods

I plugged it in the center console between the two seats. Should I just hook to the main battery? @@Slingmods

I reached out to the MFG to verify. They said that it's okay to use the charge port between the two seats as that runs to the primary battery. They also said that the relay will click on and off as the rear battery charges, as it's toggling between charging the primary and secondary. The relay click will stop once both batteries are topped off.
