I'll definately be flying her some more on the slope, this little conversion just keeps giving and giving! 😁👍

Watching your videos makes me homesick sometimes. I do miss England and the rolling green hills. Great flying on a breezy day. Keep having fun and keep up the great videos.

Cliff I think you found the way to fly this one! That was brilliant! John Woodfield would be proud. Beautiful scenery as well, what a spot.

Many thanks Adam, I first flew that little slope back in '75, it has a lot of memories for me, now the fun continues the only thing missing is a buce blue ocean JW style 😁👍

What a beautifully perfect spot for flying! Again youre too brave in that wind, bit yeah, inspiring video for future projects and learning generally.

Thanks John, as long as you keep pointing into wind there's not much that can go wrong but I admit I was on the limits of what she's capable of, cheers and thanks for watching

Great control Cliff, looked like a bird of prey static in the air. Certainly fun. 👍🏻
@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Жыл бұрын
It's a bit like prop hanging where you have to put in lots of control inputs almost without thinking to balance the gusts 🤔👍

Such an elegant little plane.. I've never done slope soaring. Looks like it could be quite relaxing... That little slingsby is a great little plane.. Love it. Appears you need rubber boots to fly there... 🙂
@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Жыл бұрын
It's not difficult to learn will, you end up with a glider for every condition, sometimes relaxing, sometimes adrenaline pumping, the golden rule when you're learning is to always turn out from the slope not towards it 🤔 rubber boots on order 😁👍

Excellent little glider, Cliff, and very well flown in such challenging conditions. Please could you remind me - what do you use for tissue tightening? Do you just use pre-shrunk tissue or do you apply a coat of thinned shrinking dope as well? Thank you for the videos. I'm in the process of building a KK Senator, my first proper rubber model since 1976..
@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Жыл бұрын
Hi Andy, sometimes I use thinned shrinking dope other times a rattle can of matt lacquer, either way I pre shrink the tissue onbthe model with water using a fine mister. I don't pre-shrink my tissue but I should do for the more delicate models. I've got a Senator to build as well, I'll probably convert it to RC like I did with my Ajax 🙂 Good for you getting back into true modelling, it's most enjoyable and makes a nice change 👍

Blimey, I would have thought you would need more wind. Plenty down trim and penetrate the air and make it travel. Got it back in one piece though and so a result. I`ve not been sloping for ages. Slag heaps can be good fun too. I used to slope all the time, once you get the hang of it you can be airborne for hours n hours. 🤓 Take ya googles with you. 🥸
@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Жыл бұрын
Yeah, more wind would definitely have helped Nick 😁
