This is practically the same setup learned on with iFly and 71 cm mast with 99 and then graduating to the 84. Used a smaller 5.4 meter wing and then also attached a FoilDrive Assist + to the mast to practice anything from e-foil to assist.

That is a great setup for sure, how does the IFly work with the the foildrive?

@@KitePaddleSurf Great for learning and when you want to travel. I want to graduate towards narrower boards with less liters. The IFly is wide and lots of volume at 120L for my board, so not great for gaining speed with smaller foils. I had no problem placing the foildrive at the back of the IFly and running the cable down the 71 cm mast. The IFly does have bolt holes so a plastic mount can easily be attached to place the foil drive on top with velcro and a strap.

If you're ever interested in boards let us know. The new Armstrong FG boards are awesome, they narrowed them up a little from the previous generation, but still provide the best stability for the liters. @@waltershowalter

What size ifly would you pair with this wing for someone who is 220lbs? Do I need the large stabilizer wing or will the 42 work?

42 is great for you. Either would work but the 42cm is better over time as it is more maneuverable and fun. - DJ

How does Infinity 99 compare to Armstrong 2400 and 2050? Heavier, slower top speed, less expensive, but is take-off speed the same? Maneuverability?

Hello Joe. I have not ridden the 2400 from Armstrong. The 99 has more lift than the 2050 but does not have the maneuverability or top end speed of the 2050. The 2050 has nearly the same lift as the 99cm. The Armstrong is lighter and the hardware is superior as well. Let me know how to help.

Hi, thanks for the video. Questions. I weight about 88kg (170lb) and have the 99cm foil, 140 lier board, wings from 5 to 8 squaremeters. I struggle hard to get into foiling. The foil feels like a heavy anker and reduces speed of driving that I almost never get into foiling even when there are 15knots. And if I start flying, it is not a smooth gradient for rising like promised. It comes up, reaches the water surface and I crash. I tried all positions of the mast at the board. Nothing helps. I tried a different board with e.g. an 1500cm front wing and even with my weight I went straight to flying and it felt like a smooth controllable raising. Where is the mistake? What do I do wrong? I assume a general messed up set up. Any advices? Thanks

That foil should be giving you smooth lift even at low speeds. Beginners should move the mast forward to add lift. You may have too much lift if it feels like the foil drives up too strongly. So you could move the foil farther back in the track. Let me know how I can help. - DJ

Thank you for the reviews. How is this Infinity 99 Wing different from PFI 928 wing? Curious why one should go with these Infinity wings instead of the Phantasm ones if both are Carbon. (I know there are options for Carbon Mast in Phantasm). But if I got the Aluminum mast and the Lower Package of Phantasm PFI 928, isn't it same price and better (newer) design than the Infinity?

The wings are similar with some small differences. The PFI 928 has a thinner profile which creates a wing that creates more control over the wing at higher speeds. The PFI 928 has more rake in the leading edge which makes the wing faster through the water. The Carbon used in the phantasm is lighter than the infinity. If you can find it cheaper to buy the PFI 928 wing lower with an aluminum mast, then I would definitely go for it. If you buy a hover glide mast don't forget you need to get an adaptor that connects to the phantasm lower. If you're interested in putting together a foil package, please feel free to get back to us. @@raghuram2815 No a phantasm front wing only works on a phantasm fuselage. You can use an adaptor for a hoverglide mast to a phantasm fuselage. Hope that helps, anymore ?'s let me know.
