It was nice to see the Croc Monitors settled down with you, but it is AWESOME to hang out with the BEST Monitor Lizard in the Kamp.. SLINKY!! I just love this big guy. He has grow so much since you found him almost frozen to death. It has been a wonderful experience watching him grow & seeing how much he loves you!

You are a textbook example of how people should be keeping their reptiles. Have you ever thought of writing a book about reptile husbandry? I think that the Crock monitor are so amazing , and how they swallow that chicken leg with out chewing them is so crazy 😄. I just love reptiles and find them very fascinating , wish i could have a land and have many of them. But for now I am fine just seeing your KZbin channel and how you take such good care for them and all the info you provide to us your views. I love that the croc monitors have to take a little time to adjust themselves to take down each piece of chicken and it still looks impressive that they're able to take down that piece in one... and then slinky literally slurps down a piece the same size in less than a second and instantly looks for more. I follow so many reptile channels on here that have Asian water monitors and none of them come close to Slinky's impressiveness. He has to be one of, if not the largest, on KZbin while at the same time being the most habituated to people (unless you come up behind him, of course).

She's Jerry's now. He got her because Kenan wanted to breed her and it just wasn't working with Slinky. Kenan saw she was really happy in Jerry's enclosures (Jerry did a video about the visit) and so he just said "She's staying here. I couldn't do better than you to make her be a happy monitor lizard." Jerry Wolfe has his own YT channel - Wolfe's World.

It’s so beautiful to see Slinky in such a massive enclosure! A local reptile store here has an Asian Water Monitor that’s probably around 6-7FT, and he’s trapped in an enclosure that’s too small for him. He has a tub of water he can /just about/ fit in, a few branches to climb, and some basking lamps. It’s sad, he can’t even walk around the bottom of his enclosure because it’s crowded and small. The owner keeps going between him not being for sale, or costing $3000 if I remember correctly.😔

Slinky got so big. Its amazing how I see such failure behavior between Slinky and my pet tegu. They way they explore and probe and investigate is so similar. Mine just likes to test bite a bit more lol.

I'm sure this is already in the works, but you have to get Slinky with one of Jerry's females @wolfesworld to make sure his blood line lives on. He's a staple in his species to promote conservation, and when his time comes we don't not want to have his offspring not carry the love people have had for him and water monitors forward.
