I can't speak to other barefoot shoe brands, but I wear standard moccasins everywhere as slip-on shoes- in everyday where out and about, as slippers around the house, and as shoes out in the barn to take care of my animals. I own an old pair of Minnetonka's and my husband made me a pair. I think that because they're all suede, they form to my foot and don't restrict my toes at all. I do own three pairs of Xero shoes and absolutely love them all!

This Xero is basically a pair of Sanuks. Sanuks are where I started my "barefoot" journey almost 20 years ago. They are wide, flat and you can slip them on and stand on the back without worry. I started wearing them for the exact reasons you mentioned after surfing, easy to slip on with damp feet in the sand. I used to own multiple pairs of Sanuks but they were slowly replaced by Xeros, and now I have another pair of Xeros I'm going to have to buy! I own 8 pairs of Xeros currently...I should probably start my own review channel! lol

They may be kinda like a pair of Sanuks, but they are exactly like the slip on version of the discontinued Patagonia Advocate. I count this as a good thing as I've been wondering how I was going to replace my Advocates when they wear out, lol.

I always found Sanuks too sloppy when I tried them on in the store. I never found a slip-on that actually fit snug and just stopped looking at slip-ons altogether until they sent me these free ones.

I just got these in the mail today. Looking forward to wearing them. All of my shoes are either Lems or Xero Shoes. The Lems Drifter is a great casual slip on shoes.

I love this company- switched over to Xero Prio for 10 years now, love the barefoot feel and I find I walk better, more ease in standing long hours. These slip ons are great for walks on beach - sure you will enjoy them 😉

I love the prios. Even in the winter, I just add a thicker Dr. Sholes insole and wool socks to keep my feet warm.

These would make great camp shoes for backpacking, better than my bulky Crocs. Altra only makes zero drop shoes; most have a wide toe box ("standard" and "original" widths). I've had Torin 4's and am now wearing Provision 4's.

I’m a male, retired military and retired federal LEO….in my late 60s (damn! Late 60s….I preferred saying mid-60s! Oh well!) I’m in my late 60s…I’ve always been physically active. In retirement, I adopted a zero drop, wide toe box, minimalist shoe. I’m in my 4th year of zero drop…my balance is improved, my running gait is better, more relaxed, striking with the forefoot. And my back pain (from a Navy aircraft accident in the late 1970s) has literally disappeared. I have four pairs of Xero….these Sunrise being the latest, and my least favorite. The soles are extremely slippery, which I found out at a Massachusetts Turnpike rest area recently, and while walking around Boston. They are now relegated to household wear….and I wear my Xero HFS to exercise, and my Whitin shoes for “walking around”. Your videos are great…I’m a subscriber, and I both enjoy and learn from you. Bravo-Zulu on providing a great online service!

I've had abnormally wide toe spreads all my long life. Consequently, buying shoes has always been a nightmare. Many DD widths are still too narrow for my toes. I had Birkenstocks once that I used a matte knife to trim the toe bed so my outer toes had room to spread. As far as slip-ons go, they were unworkable because a wider shoe is cut wider all over, and the heel widths would therefore be far too wide too wide to keep on. I finally settled into SAS shoes: They have a few styles I can wear, but all have to be ordered and shipped and are, of course, very expensive.

Your toe spread is not abnormal. The design of most shoes is abnormal for your foot.

I love my Lems Drifter’s for a slip on shoe, especially if you are looking for something with a little more cushion, these are a great option in my opinion.

I bought these shoes right after watching this video. PS my feet are not like yours - mine are long and skinny. As far as I can tell the sole is the same as my Shamma sandals - which helped sell me. This shoe is really really great … thanks for letting Xero comp you a pair!

You are sneaky. 😊. You showed us how super spidey flexible you are while demonstrating the product. I have several Xero shoes and I have a Birkenstock ‘Gary’ with a designed collapsible back like the Sunrise. The ‘Callan’. Is a true slip-on currently on-sale. They were not comfortable in the relaxed mode for me. And the back was thick and produced unwelcome pressure.

Xpand round quick release laces have turned my Xero prios and Xero leather Denvers into slip on shoes. I haven't had to adjust them since i set them up. I don't miss traditional laces and double knots.

What you've described is, for the most part, a house slipper. I got two pair of clog-style, fuzzy-lined slippers at Walmart for too cheap to remember. They have an excellent, wide toe-box. This was several years ago and they are still going strong. I'm down to one pair because my girlfriend like them so much that I gave her the other pair. The outsoles can easily withstand outdoor, wet conditions, but when I go outside, I slip them off and slip into the Walmart version of Crocs. Also cheap, also wide toeboxed, and apparently indestructible. Oh I know that the fashion police hate when I wear Crocs (knockoffs - worse!), but they probably wouldn't like any XERO or similar shoes either. Fortunately, I grew out of caring what the fashion police dictate about 5 decades ago. So for about a quarter of the price of those XERO Sunrise, I have two pair of super-comfortable shoes: one that I wear indoors only and another that stay outdoors.

All of my shoes are slip on except my Disneyland shoes. These look awesome for my lifestyle. I’m not sure if these would be enough for a 10 mile per day, 4 day trip to Disneyland, but I might try them ❤

I have 3 pairs of xero shoes. They are wider than any shoe I’ve tried, but still not wide enough. I don’t have abnormally wide feet, but our toes are meant to spread and these don’t allow that. I’m too embarrassed to walk around in those creepy shoes with toes, so I wish someone would just manufacture a regular shoe with a much wider toe box. The tiny benefit I get from the barely wider xero shoe isn’t worth the crazy price, especially since they fall apart so quickly. But I’ll still probably keep buying them until someone creates a better one. Frustrating.

Check out Be Lenka and TadeEvo, I have extra wide, high volume feet and bought the Ranger 2.0 and Bliss and they're both pretty awesome. Anya's Reviews is another great resource, she has a picture on the site of 38 brands of shoe bottoms, from narrowest to widest, so you can get an idea based off your foot trace, which would be a better match for your shape. Xero shoes is sixth on the list, making it one of the narrowest brands. Be Lenka is 37th, the second widest brand, and the Bliss is around 26th on the list, but with it's design, I get full splay with room to grow even with toe socks and spacers that have shims in them. It's probably the most helpful thing I've found during my barefoot research, besides these videos and others like it of course. Happy hunting.

You can replace the insoles with wool felt insoles - somehow they are amazingly ordor-resistent

Mr i have a question for you, please respond, I really need. Is strenthing cores and glutes enough for treating anterior pelvic tilt? I am doing training 6-7 times a day, squads and training my cores to strengthin them. I am doing right?

Hello, do you find that the shoe slips so your toes bump up against the front of the shoe? Or does your foot stay in place? I've found with slip ons that can happen. Laces hold the upper in place on laced shoes.

That's something I noticed with other slip-ons as well. They always felt sloppy. I was pleasantly surprised the sunrises do not feel sloppy at all for my feet.

As a child and barefooted for the first 6 years of my life in the 1960’s…always hated shoes and especially pointed toe box. Shoes were hot and nasty and cramped my toes. Recently started wearing moccasins and zero sandals. Feet and toes are stronger No foot pain. Might not be for everyone but I hate wearing those super padded coffins on my feet🤣🥾🚫⚰️

I am looking for a shoe that I can slip on and off that allows me to grip the (carpeted) floor when doing deep tissue massage, which sometimes involves me having one leg on the floor and one on the table while stretching a client, and then also applying pressure, so that one foot really needs to be able to GRIP the floor. Right now I work in bare feet, but would like a shoe that helps my wide (yoga feet) be able to really hold contact with the floor. Any Suggestions anyone?

Unfortunately, any brand of shoe that does not manufacture shoes in different widths does not accommodate people whose feet fall outside of average foot width. A manufacturer whose shoes are made to accommodate males with c or d width feet will be entirely unsuitable for men with very narrow or wide feet. As a male with narrow feet it can be very frustrating to find a shoe that fits properly
